The massive, stocky shape of this exceptionally dark smoky quartz is totally unique for the locale! The whole piece is in excellent condition with a completely crystallized underside and almost no wear or abrasions! The quartz has a dark and warm brown color that is visible throughout the thick glassy body. Save for some internal cracks the interior is all transparent and really amazing! The surface shows beautiful structures all around and very best luster. There are hardly any smoky quartz specimens from the eastern Alps that compare to this striking crystal from the northern face of Roter Mann!

Super sharp anatase on white quartz in mesmerizing composition!
You can browse through hundreds of specimens without finding a piece of such exceptional beauty and perfection! The brilliant white quartz with some chlorite inclusions is the base for a group of high quality anatase crystals with bright luster, distinctive bi-pyramidal shape and pristine condition. The sharp crystals create a very distinctive outline with a doubly-terminated crystal prominently sitting at the highest spot. Distributed atop the anatase are some brown spots of iron oxide (possibly siderite) which add a little more color. Absolutely outstanding composition and quality are combined on this unique specimen!

The main crystals on this impressive specimen are a dramatic 5.1 cm pink fluorite and a massive 8 cm aquamarine with strong blue color! The aquamarine is highly lustrous and transparent. It is nested in muscovite but still able to show its wonderful front face as a window into its gemmy interior! At the top of the specimen is a single beautiful fluorite. It is glassy and full of pink color with a wonderful complex surface structure. Even at normal daylight the fluorite presents itself with strong color that contrasts with the blue aquamarine and the silvery muscovite.
Most special however is the fluorite's beautiful surface structure. Every individual part of the modified crystal displays rounded edges with fine striations which is visible down to the smallest structures which makes it no only unlikely but downright impossible that anything about this is artificial. Only nature is able to create such marvelous beauty! The whole specimen is free of damage and absolutely formidable in person!

The superb rhodonite is from the famous find in 1991, which arguably yielded the best rhodonite specimens of Peru. It has a nice size of 7.3 cm wiht individual crystals up to around 2.5 cm. Characteristic for the locale and this unique find the piece is a cluster of thin bladed rhodonite crystals with good transparency and a nice pinkish red color. The crystals are aesthetically arranged, well terminated and in overall very good condition which is amazing for such a fragile specimen. The backside has some black sphalerite, apart from that this is pure rhodonite.

FA312 - Cavansite - Sold
Wagholi, Pune District, Maharashtra, India
Size: 15.6 x 11.7 x 7.4 cm

What a striking specimen, consisting of numerous crystlas of cavansite, situated on an exciting contrasting, white matrix of stilbite. While cavansite is pretty common over all, this specimen is very different from the crowd. Almost all specimens are flat plates, what looks very boring to me. The matrix of this piece is very 3-dimensional, what looks extraordinary fine in person and makes this specimen so unique. It is rich loaded of royal blue crystals, up to 2.8 cm in size, with bright luster. Both, the cavansite and the stilbite are sparkling in person, what is not visible on the photos and make this a choice specimen. Much better in person!

The termination of this quartz is really awesome and rare! Besides the great termination the crystal shows a beautiful luster and clarity. Just some minor damage is present, but this is hardly visible and very small over all. A piece with this shape is really hard to find and a great rarity from the Alps!
