Mottramite can only be found in few sites worldwide with Tsumeb being the most important. Needless to say, the combination of mottramite on dioptase on calcite is extremely rare and hard to find! The individual dioptase crystals on this specimen reach up to 7 mm and are at some parts heavily encrusted with botryoidal green mottramite. There are peripheral contacts but the main section is fully intact!
Sharp and mirroring hematite on quartz and with fire-red rutile on it! The hematite is of spectacular quality and virtually flawless. It is richly studded with rutile which is characteristic for the locale and highly appealing! At the base there is some transparent quartz and some fledspar wich rounds out the overall gorgeous aesthetics!
Black schorl is vertically grown atop a piece of rock matrix which creates this absolutely lovely construct. The schorl microcrystals are chaotically arranged along an upright spine like spikes on a piece of barbed wire. If you lay direct light to this structure you can see that the black crystals offer some gemmy red color. Very nice little specimen and in great condition!
If you are looking for a fine and well sized paragenesis from Romania, this one might be the one for you! The main attraction is certainly that prictine sphere of snow white calcite that serves as a visual anchor! That sphere is set on an amazing mix of sparkling quartz, golden iridescent chalcopyrite and white dolomite. There is no damage to be found here and the composition is just sweeping and beautiful!
This amazing topaz specimen strikes with brilliant aesthetics! The single 1.9 cm topaz crystal has spectacular quality. It is extremely sharp and gemmy and in absolute best condition! The color is a lovely champagne that sits well on the white background of the feldspar matrix. As you can see in the picture, this feldspar is an actual single crystal microlite with nice luster and sharp edges.
This 4.5 cm gwindel is exceptionally well developed! While it has a slight chloritization on some of the faces, most are clear and lustrous. The interior is completely glassy with a nice smoky color. The bottom is broken but further up the gwindel is in superb condition and very well developed!
What a colorful fluorite!! This is an exceptional group of intergrown crystals with green core and purple edges. The whole specimen is very nice translucent and in very good conditions over all! Just some small contacts at the edges are visible, but also not from the front side.
Another very nice specimen of titanite. Some small edge wear is present but it is still a very good example in the lower price range.
This is a magnificent specimen of gold with extraordinary crystals and great shape. Gold from Brazil is very rare, and especially with this aesthetics and size very hard to get. It has a very special hoppered crystallization and is extremely showy from each side.
Another very special aragonite from Styria. Very hard to get nowadays in this quality and shape.
This is a stunning quarz from Diamantina, Brazil. It has a gorgeous shape, good luster and a great color. On some spots at the upper part of the crystal it shows very fine "windows", going deep into the crystal.
This is a beautiful combination of calcite and quartz, where the calcite is very well grown on the upper side of the matrix, what gives the piece a very special aesthetics. The shape of the calcite is very interesting, with many smaller crystals stacked together. It is perfect all around!
