A classic mineral in a very classic design! This elegant main barite is 6.5 cm long and - as is famous for this old locale - has the most intriguing honey-yellow color! The crystal is very well shaped, sharp and lustrous with only minimal abrasions. The inside is clouded but with some gemmy patches, especially towards the termination. Size, quality and aesthetics make this classic specimen special!
A very attractive floater specimen of white Faden-quartz in remarkable condition. A dominant main crystal is the main focus point here, several smaller crystals are arranged all around. The quartz is part milky, part glassy and with excellent luster on all sides.
Shaped like a burning torch and composed of exceptionally sharp copper crystals, this is truly an elegant piece. The patina exhibits a charming copper-red color with specks of lustrous bright copper showing through. A nicely 3-dimensional piece with a very much appealing character.
When speaking of huebnerite one inevitably thinks of Peru, where all major deposits are located. Large crystals of great luster, associated with brilliant quartz make for amazingly beautiful mineral specimens. In respect of quality and aesthetics this huebnerite specimen is absolutely unbeatable. Amidst of milky white to glassy transparent quartz crystals of differing size one huebnerite aggregate majestically stands out in great contrast. The huebnerite is mostly metallic black but bleeding red color through every seam. A fantastic visual effect on this distinctly 3-dimensional piece. There are peripheral contacts but no damage whatsoever. An incredibly beautiful, aeshtetic, imposing specimen of world class quality!
A characteristic Alpine quartz specimen with sharp prismatic shape and pointed termination. Around the base you find green chlorite, smaller quartz crystals and some feldspar which are typical signs for the Alpine origin. Especially the front of the crystal has some beautiful surface structure and is very much lustrous. The crystal's interior is transparent and colorless. Overall the piece is in very good condition with only a couple small chips. The termination is a bit rough but which is contact induced, no damage. A nice classic quartz specimen of great shape and quality!
This is a typical combination for this locale: glassy brown siderite crystals almost completely cover a structure of tabular pyrrhotite. Amidst this 3-dimensional array you can see a single white quartz crystal, lustrous and sharp that is dotted with some siderite itself. Very appealing aesthetics and best condition!
A very nice floater specimen of rich blue azurite from this classic locale. The piece is over and over crowded with azurite crystals leaving almost no visible matrix in between. Some small malachite is present but not dominant. The color varies in some patches to a lighter sky-blue or some greyish zones but is mainly a very intensive and rich royal-blue.
A white phantom inside transparent calcite, doubly terminated and on a nice matrix of galena and pyrite. The main crystal is complete and flawless. The matrix shows some contacts at the backside but is otherwise complete as well. A specimen of sharp aesthetics from the Huanzala lead-zinc mine in Peru.
The shape of this single quartz specimen is a patchwork that tells of its history. At some point in its past it must have broken and reattached in an odd angle. The bottom, but also a large part at the upper half, are contacted but fully re-crystallized. This specimen is in overall very fine condition with only a small ding at the tip. Luster and clarity are both very good.
Gemmy, lustrous, sharp topaz with an elegant greenish tinge from Hematita! The locale is better known for its alexandrite appearance, but in recent years some very fine topaz finds have been done. This specimen has a lovely etched shape with a gemmy, limpid body that has only very few internal cracks. The surface is extremely lustrous and shows a very engaging structure. It's a floater in fine condition. A brilliant little specimen of best topaz quality!
This epidote specimen is from a recent find in the western Pakistani Mountains that revealed a completely unique and highly aesthetic "bow tie" shape. Sprays of dark green, lustous epidote form this sharp clusters in a just lovely way. Several of those "bow ties" are stacked upon each other to for this sculputresque, impressively large specimen that strikes with its complex 3-dimensional shape. The top and backside are partly covered in small white calcite crystals. The piece is a floater and in very good condition with only some peripheral contacts. One of the best pieces of the find and a superb example for epidote in general!
A group of olive green titanite twin crystals is set on a characteristic chlorite/feldspar matrix. The upper surface of the matrix is covered in white albite and calcite crystals up to around 1 cm in size. The titanites themselves are sharp and translucent and up to 1.4 cm long with nice frosted surfaces. Quality, aesthetics and overall condition are very appealing on this one!
