This is a perfect and flawless thumbnail specimen of very fine leaf green titanite. A 2.5 cm main crystal is accompanied by two side-crystals, both around 1.5 cm long. There is some intergrown chlorite which adds Alpine character without being too obtrusive. A lovely specimen in best condition and with highly appealing aesthetics!
This brucite is very distinctive through its three-dimensional architecture that combines brucite of differing color and form with small pieces of rock matrix for additional contrast. The best crystals have the intensive lemon yellow color in botryoidal lustrous aggregates which is simply beautiful. This is a complete floater specimen in very best condition and lovely appearance!
A fluorite from the Erongo Mountains with textbook aesthetics! The specimen shows a single rounded 3,1 cm fluorite on matrix. The crystal is almost round but if you look closely you can very well see individual crystal faces. On the inside the crystal is completely transparent and glassy. While it is basically colorless there are dark purple patches and structures near the surface that make for a very unique look! This beautiful crystal is set on a matrix of white microcline, green fluorites and some colorless beryl micro-crystals.
A dominant, massy smoky quartz crystal of excellent quality that would attract attention in any collection. Especially the main view shows superb luster and a beautifully structured surface through wich the observer can see the stunningly limpid inside of the crystal. Some internal cracks are typical for a crystal this size and even add some spice to an otherwise straight and classy crystal. Mentioning some minuscule wear is beside the point on a great piece like this. A shiny rocket, quietly waiting to launch!
This is a classic piece of adularia or K-feldspar from Mörchnerkar, better known for its superb hematite and adularia specimens. The large main adularia sits on a matrix-like cluster of smaller crystals, encrusted with rust-red limonite. The adularia is translucent to even transparent and of fantastic luster at the front. Very attractive and practically a floater with only a small contact at the bottom.
A single main spinel crystal is set on a glistening white matrix that's sprinkled with smaller spinels all over. The main crystal is 2.2 cm broad, translucent and with a deep strawberry red color that is especially strong if you add some warm light from the back or top. The spinel has the usual rounded edges without loosing its well defined shape that is a flattened modified octahedron.
Epidote from the Alpine type clefts of Pakistan are a well known species that impresses with gemmy quality and a multitude of different shapes!
This specimen stands out through the exceptional quality of the main crystal which shows very best transparency, superb luster and a well cut termination. The whole specimen is in best condition with only minuscule abrasions here and there.
One wonderful pink tourmaline of perfectly gemmy quality is prominently sitting on a matrix of quartz, mica and cleavelandite. The tourmaline with a diameter of 2.7 cm is free of any scratch, but has a small contact at the back. Especially nice about this specimen is the elegant contrast of pink, light blue and white, perfectly composed with just the right proportions. I just love the vivid termination, pointing perfectly to the front. A superb and rare piece of tourmaline on matrix from the pegmatites of Burma.
Diamantina is well known for its quartz specimens with inclusions of rutile, hematite or chlorite. However, this very distinctive smoky quartz sceptre is a brilliant exception. The aesthetics is very straight forward: A large head of nice smoky color is grown on a colorless stem, both of which show very fine luster and sharp development. At the touching point between stem and head there is a dark zone that is particularly smoky! The overall condition is very good with only a contact at the backside and some contact induced rough edges. No damage!
This is an exceptionally aesthetic combination piece! It is a brilliant paragenesis of green apophyllite and skin-colored stilbite on a large transparent calcite that again sits on a greenish black matrix. This combination is exceedingly rare from Wagholi, especially in such lovely form. All crystals are sharp and gemmy with no damage anywhere. Even the backside of this specimen is crystallized and obviously not broken or trimmed. The piece comes in dramatic size and is a true stunner that surprises with contrasting colors, highest quality and a well-balanced composition!
Large and sharp crystals of rich pink manganoan calcite are intergrown to shape this rather massive specimen. The calcite is well developed all around and shows a vibrant luster. Like a ripe fruit this crystal is tempting to take a healthy bite. The whole piece is in near perfect condition with a contacted backside but no actual damage. An outstanding piece, impressive in size and color even for Dal'negorsk, most famous among all Russian mineral sources. A quick look on our video immediately shows what I am talking about!
Unlike the more common acicular crystals of chalcanthite, this specimen features a single sharply terminated and gemmy crystal of deep blue color on matrix. The chalcanthite is 5 mm across and well emphasized by its strong, piercing blue color. Small but unusually well shaped!
