This impressive manganite comes from the classic locality Ilfeld in Germany. The crystals are highly lustrous, grown together and have a wonderful metallic color. They are up to 5.5 cm in length and well terminated. Except some contacts at the sides, this cluster is free of damage. The mine was closed many years ago already, why it is very hard to find a group of this calibre on the market. Very 3-dimensional and impactful!

Like a juicy bowl of strawberries, this freshly red colored rhodochrosite is utterly appealing. Most striking about it is the rare “wheat-sheaf” habit, which is famous for the N’Chwaning Mines, and a most desired attribute to have. The brilliant red color, the sparklingly lustrous surface and the limpidness of the crystals on this specimen is breathtaking. The crystals are clustered on a black manganese-matrix, which provides the perfect contrast for this wonderful piece that is perfect as well on the backside. KI5 - Liddicoatite - Sold

Size: 6.6 x 1.6 x 1.5 cm

This single, doubly terminated liddicoatite crystal was the best out of a recent pocket and strikes with its totally unique color. Both, the pyramidal and the flat termination shine with a bright candy-pink color that I have hardly ever seen in this extent on tourmaline! The color then changes to a deep cherry red, a mossy green and some white and orange patches. While the middle section need rather strong backlight, the terminations shine even in roomlight! With no damage to speak of, this is a fantastic single tourmaline crystal from a new find in the Sahatany Valley!

Demantoid from Valmalenco counts among the most important minerals from the whole Alpine region and easily stands international comparison. This is one of the best pieces I have ever seen coming from there, especially when it comes to crystal quality. The garnet is sharp, superbly lustrous and of intensive deep green color that radiates from the gemmy crystals. Situated on a white asbestic-matrix, the single isolated crystals are perfectly emphasized and sparkle like jewels! A real masterpiece of breathtakine quality without any downsides!

TA03 - Apatite - Sold
Panasqueira Mine, Panasqueira, Castelo Branco District, Portugal
Size: 6.3 x 6.1 x 4.2 cm

This is pure textbook composition! One large main crystal of highest quality is prominently perched on a base of smaller apatite crystals and some decent yellowish matrix which provides a strong and appealing color-contrast. The crystals show supreme luster, are gemmy to translucent and hold the rare deep blue color only the Panasqueira Mine is able to produce. Sure, there have been a couple of even bigger pieces but what we have here is without question one of the very best specimens in this scale, presenting a main crystal of remarkable size and outstanding crystal quality. There are some minor issues at the backside but nothing serious or visible from the front. The bottom is well crystallized, this whole piece is a floater. This wonderful apatite specimen is from an old find, made its way through many collections (like Brice Gobin or Matt Tannenbaum) and is now again available. A perfect treasure for any collection of world-class minerals! Price on request
