If you are looking for an aesthetic and sculpturesque tourmaline then you might be interested in this combination from the Shigar valley! It features a rich number of very fine tourmalines with showy books of mica up to 2.2 cm in diameter. The tourmalines are dark but have bright blue terminations which adds a unusually striking color to this attractive specimen! The blue color is not only beautiful but also rare and much desired in tourmaline specimens! What makes this piece special is but not only the color but the sweeping and contrasting arrangement of tourmalines, mica and albite which results in a highly appealing specimen of utter beauty!
What an amazing fluorite! The main crystal is situated on a "first generation" of fluorite with white color what makes a very good contrast to the purple main crystal! Also the back side is crystallized very well mainly consisting of galena! Some edge wear is present on this specimen, though the great color, gemminess and aesthetics are really outstanding and most important to this specimen. This specimen comes with two historic labels! (Ex U.S. National Museum, ex J. Williams collection)
The combination of cuprite and silver is amazing on this specimen! There were just a few specimens with this combination. The cuprite shows a very intense red color on the surface when lighted.
Waht a beautiful hematite from the Swiss Alps. The whole specimen is balanced very well and a floater all around. Every collector who is looking for a hematite from the Alps would love to get a crystal on white adularia. This specimen has all what you can look for and is perfect for the advanced collector therefore.
This is one of the most aesthetic vanadinites I have ever seen. All the crystals are well-situated on the yellow-brownish barite and also very nice isolated, what makes this specimen different to almost all the others. The crystals have a bright red color, good luster and the whole specimen is a floater all around.
This is an exceptional cluster of mangano calcite with a very unusual shape. Some small chalcopyrites are present, what makes it even more interesting. It is very hard to get such a good specimen nowadays, so I was pretty lucky to get it!
Curschellas Tumaisch and Lukas Monn found this exceptional gwindel in 1966! The outline of the specimen is very uncommon, with a pointed termination on the left, and a stepped termination on the other side. It is free of damage, except one very tiny spot of 2mm, what is not visible from the front but just if you have a very closely inspection trying to find it. On the bottom side it is grown into some matrix. It is free of cracks and has a very nice color. Comes with the old label shown on the picture.
A gorgeous fluorite of very fine quality is well situatet on a beutiful matrix, consisting of a layer of small quartz crystals and snow white crystals of barite. The fluroite is completely free of damage and has a size of 1.5 cm on edge! I named this piece "the rabbit", because of it's special shape! The picture speakes for itself here!
Another fine specimen of great aesthetics!
WOW, what a beautiful epidote! Many crystals are pointing in different directions, like machine made! In the front section a small calcite is present, making a small accent of color and contrast! The epidote on this piece has a great luster and is very sharp. It is a floater all around and crystalized on the back as well, what is very good visilbe on the video. Most of the pieces coming from this locale are repaired due heavy blasting at mining, but this piece is completely free of any repairs. The condition is very good over all, and just some minor damage is present on the top right of the crystal in the middle! Luckily a small crystal is grown over this later on, and so this is mainly hidden because of that. This is an exceptional piece for the locale and very impressive and 3-dimensional in person.
Nowadays it is not easy to find good tourmalines of great quality! This crytal is very glassy, highly lustrous and of bright color! It is well terminated, with a small contact, wich is luckily not very good visible! Over all a beautiful single crystal and very showy!
Now, this anatase is a real killer thumbnail! One totally sharp crystal in combination with some matrix and even an accent of quartz. A fantastic combination in exactly the right proportion. The most impressive aspect though is the incredible blue color the anatase reveals, when illuminated in the right way. But even without strong light, the surface shimmers blue. Believe me, this is exactly the specimen you were looking for!
