This is an elongated prismatic quartz of great transparency and luster all around. The bottom of this fine specimen is fully crystallized with terminated quartz and white accessory pericline. Also at the side face some smaller pericline crystals are perched. A side-crystal at the back is broken but which is not visible from the front. Some edges are a bit rough but most of which is contact induced with only one visible chip at the termination. All in all this is a remarkably fine quartz specimen for Rauris, with typical character and a dominant, attractive appearance!
Straight, sharp and water-clear. A small but brilliant single quartz that shows some inner life through decent green chloritization. It is right handed, prismatic and virtually flawless with a contacted bottom. The termination's edges are a bit rough which seems to bee contact induced and not damaged. An excellent miniature specimen from Felbertal!
Lovely little amethyst sceptre with a clear and distinctive purple head on an unusually shaped body. This body appears kind of amorphous but it is completely crystallized. The head on the other hand is sharply developed, lustrous and completely flawless!
The piece comes from Zagi Mountain in Peshawar, Pakistan where the best and largest crystals of bastnäsite have been found worldwide. It has distinctive aesthetics with two hexagonal prismatic crystals on a contrasting feldspar matrix. The crystals show a warm amber color, are part gemmy and lustrous. The more prominently situated crystal on the left is doubly terminated and flawless with a length of 1.2 cm. The second crystal is a stunning 1.5 cm long which is very well visible even though it is partly embedded in matrix. A perfectly attractive specimen with no damage and great composition.
Completely etched on all sides, glassy and highly lustrous, this unusual aquamarine is a weirdly beautiful sculpture. The color is a intensive greenish blue that is very well visible even in more unfavourable light conditions. The crystal is not perfect yet in great condition with only some minor scratches or minimal chips which are hard to see on a highly structured piece like this. An intriguing floater crystal, full of charming little details!
Alpine apatite of such large and massy calibre is not just rare but almost impossible to get! This piece has been in several important collections before (we include the labels!) and for a reason. The crystal is translucent to transparent and shows a distinct hexagon although the bottom and backside are very much contacted - yet not broken. Its surface is mostly silky flat but especially the front face is highly lustrous. There is some chloritization present all around the crystal which adds a nice Alpine character. This is without question an outstanding piece that impresses with just huge size for an Alpine apatite!
This aquamarine displays an intensive water-blue color that doesn’t need much light – though it very much rewards direct illumination with vivid blue color! This aquamarine specimen is a doubly terminated cluster of three stepped grown prismatic crystals with flat termination, only a little bevelled at the edges. The whole piece is in virtually perfect condition with no visible damage anywhere. A beautiful gem mineral of great luster and transparency! Most spectacular on this specimen surely is the striking color that is extremely rare in this extent! Also have a look on our video that nicely shows the color and all around beauty of this crystal!
A star-shaped pattern of lovely purple amethyst crystals nicely sits on a piece of grey matrix. The piece shows excellent aesthetics and highest crystal quality. The amethyst shows uniform purple color is transparent and highly lustrous. All crystals are in best shape and condition!
I especially love the unique and very distinctive composition of this specimen. Highly attractive in person!
A group of snow-white quartz with super luster is the perfect base for a pair of sharp, doubly terminated anatase crystals that are presented right at the top of this exceptional specimen. Anatase from the Alps is extremely rare but hardly ever have I seen an aesthetic piece like this with such high class crystals. The anatase is around 1 cm in size and in best condition. The quartz shows some contacts but is well crystallized on all sides. A lovely specimen of superb aesthetics!
Very unusual growth brought us this striking piece of two flattened sceptre heads on a common shaft. The two-headed monstrosity was found over hundred years ago (see the historic label that comes with the piece) and never lost anything of its magic. Both heads show a faint purple tinge, intensive "window"-etchings and are in very good, though not 100% perfect condition. The bottom is contacted, not broken and holds some matrix residues. All over this is a fantastic and highly unusual specimen!
This epidote from the worlds finest epidote deposit at Knappenwand shows great forest green color with the characteristic color-change to brown at the right angle. Due to the chaotic arrangement of crystals you in fact always see a mix of green and brown which is quite charming in person! All crystals are lustrous, sharp, well terminated and gemmy which is especially well visible at the larger 0.6 cm thick crystal. This piece is in very good condition all around with only one broken smaller crystal. A typical Knappenwand epidote of great Alpine elegance!
Amethyst crystals up to around 2 cm in size are neatly set on a natural piece of matrix. The main view offers a calm picture of grey-brown matrix, sparkling with feldspar micro-crystals. Perched atop this matrix is an aesthetic group of translucent, pointed, somewhat etched amethyst crystals with lovely purple color. Turning the piece around you see a much more vivid landscape with smaller quartz crystals, chaotically arranged and associated with feldspar and also some limonite and hematite.
A very natural piece, characteristic for the Mörchner area!
