This nice thumbnail specimen features a 1.5 cm main anatase on a white matrix, accompanied by a protruding colorless quartz. The main crystal is a flawless doubly terminated crystal, interlocked with a second smaller crystal at the bottom. Very attractive composition with a distinctive main crystal at the center!
Epidote is still at its best when it comes in combination with fine hairy byssolite as it is unique for Knappenwand specimens! The tousled blueish byssolite stands in contrast with the sharp prismatic, lustrous and gemmy green epidote crystals on which it is grown. This is a complete floater of crystals only with no matrix. Some side-crystals show contacts or minimal dings but the main crystals are complete and undamaged.
A glassy quartz crystal with amazing rutile needles inside! The quartz shows striking luster and clarity which makes the rutile inside quite flashy. There are minimal abrasions and a contacted backside but the overall condition is good!
This gold specimen is an older Brazilian one that was found long before the spectacular finds in the Serra do Caldeirão claims. We were fortunate to be able to trade it from a French collector. It has an arboreal shape with very well developed structures of gold crystals and hoppered growth. Strong golden color, nice luster and some intergrown colorless quartz makes this a stunning specimen as you can much better see in our video!
A beautiful green fluorite from the Erongo Mountains that features two interlocked cubes of great transparency and luster and with striking emerald green color.
The fluorites are set on a small piece of feldspar matrix with little flowers of mica.
The condition is very good with only microscopic abrasions here and there.
A lovely and picturesque fluorite thumbnail!
Fluorites from the Gastein valley aren't exactly common, especially in such lovely shape.
We got that piece only recently when we acquired a collection from an Austrian strahler.
This specimen features lovely greenish fluorites on a translucent white calcite matrix.
The individual fluorite octahedrons are up to 1.2 cm on edge, undamaged and with a nice chlorite-green color that contrasts with the white background.
As you can see in our video, the piece is complete and crystallized even at the backside.
The clarity and open colors of this single crystal elbaite are really amazing in person! It is gemmy, in parts even transparent, and has a distinctive color zoning from pink to colorless at the middle section and pink again toward the complex pyramidal termination! Even normal room light illumination is enough to let this piece shine, as you can see on the second picture which was taken without direct backlight. The crystal is in superb condition with some kind of inter growth on the backside but no damage or repair. A striking tourmaline with beautiful open colors!
If you are looking for natural aesthetics, combining great crystal quality with an unworked rock matrix, then you might want to have a closer look on this pretty piece. The smoky quartz crystals are highly transparent and lustrous. The terminal faces have some chlorite inclusions but I honestly find that really attractive. Especially those two main crystals, arranged as a prominent "V", are rather distinctive with their quality and those inclusions. But also the smaller side-crystals are all of impressive quality and in very best undamaged condition. The quartz is associated with smaller adularias which grew not just on the top surface but all around the rock matrix. Very attractive with no downsides and all natural!
A citrine from Goldzechkees at the rear end of the Rauris valley. We were lucky enough to be able to acquire a small lot of these pieces from a rare 2018 find. In terms of quality and color, this piece is really outstanding. It is a single high-gloss crystal with a clear zone at the top. While the lower area is milky white, the crystal shows a distinct yellowish color towards the tip. Admittedly, this color is not overly intense, but there is probably no such thing as a deep yellow quartz from the Alps. The bottom of the crystal is not freshly broken but completely re-healed and, just as well as the rest of of the specimen, undamaged.
We recently got a very nice lot of stunning rubellites from a new find in Pyingyi Taung. This lovely exemplar impresses above all with its sharp contrasts. Bright red tourmalines, white quartz and a dark matrix. The tourmalines are exceptionally brilliant, colorful and with beautiful, complex terminations! The entire piece is in excellent condition.
This quartz is of great aesthetics showing very shap phantoms inside!I got this out of an old collection in europe. It is prestene all around except some edgewear at the back of the main crystal. Still, this is a very nice specimen and a perfect fit for every alpine or quartz collector!
The two different crystal habits make this specimen different and very special in comparison to all the others of this find. This is the only specimen which shows this in one piece! An albite of this shape, size and quality is extremely rare and I have never seen this before. The aesthetics is the best you can look for and also the outline is really great. The whole speicmen is in very good condition. Really fantastic!
