Typical for Serifos Island, this specimen of Prase offers a very nice green color and a great composition. Several crystals, the longest of which is 6.2 cm long, freely stand out from a small matrix-like group of small side-crystals. The whole piece is rather 3-dimensional and lively with translucent elongated crystals with pointed terminations that are all free of any damage. As the search for minerals has meanwhile been prohibited at Serifos Island there are no new specimens comming for quite some time now. All main crystals are perfect, some broken side-crystals are re-healed. A fine piece of this unusual green quartz variety.

While most crocoite specimens are complex clusters of small crystals, this specimen is quite the opposite: One huge and impressive crystal of fire-orange color and fantastic translucent quality! The main part is a sharply cut prismatic crystal which turns a little more playful and filigree towards the termination. Surprisingly this whole crystal is in very best condition with one small issue on the lower third but a completely flawless termination. This is a remarkable crocoite from an older find that strikes with its sheer size!

Found in spring 2014 this specimen is a fine example for the extremely rare species of Opal-CT (tridymite crystobalite opal). The striking turquoise Paraiba-color is caused by copper and catches the eye instantly. The main view is impressive for its strong color and the sheer rareness of this material. Absolutely outstanding on an international level!

The overall shape reminds of an amethyst geode only that here it is sparkling green dioptase of fantastic quality and color! The dioptase comes as cubical crystals up to around 1 cm on edge, is gemmy and shows best possible luster! The vug-shape of this specimen is characteristic for the classic locale, an old copper mine that is closed for nearly a hundred years now. A very fine and classic piece of best quality dioptase from the more uncommon African locale!

Szenicsite is an extremely rare mineral that is unique for one single find in 1993 by Terry and Marissa Szenics that soon became well desired. This specimen shows a bright green, scintillating aggregate of crystallized szenicsite on a grey and brown matrix of powellite pseudomorph after molybdenite. At the bottom left corner you will find some greenish crust of glistening primary powellite, a characteristic association for this one time find. This piece has nice aesthetics of green on brown and is in overall good condition!

First of all: go ahead and watch the video for it much better shows the brilliance of this faden quartz specimen! The overall shape is like a topaz with an antenna atop though of course its just one of those unusual habits quartz is able to develop. The crystal is transparent wherefore the faden (German for "thread") is well visible. Without any damage, this piece is a fine little stunner!
