The azurite sits like a flower on this one, supported by an almost black, elongated piece of matrix. Some tiny sprays of green malachite are present as is characteristic for azurite specimens in general. The azurite shows just spectacular "electric" blue color and is in brilliant condition all around. Milpillas Mine is famous for splendid quality and this very specimen shows us why. Jutting out, sharp crystals of fantastic gemmy quality are perfectly presented and beautifully arranged. An excellent sculpturesque Azurite without any downsides!
This is an incredibly rich and exceedingly rare piece of Austrian garnet with crystals up to 1.5 cm in diameter. The rhombododecahedral garnet are blood-red in direct illumination and sit on a silvery mica matrix that very much emphasizes the single isolated crystals. The sheer size of this plate, decorated with so many rounded but flawless crystals is absolutely exciting. A dominant and very attractive specimen for any collection of rare Alpine minerals!
This fine piece of rutile on matrix resembles the landscape it was found in. Graceful green and grey matrix with snow-white feldspar and conspicuous boulders of knee-twin rutile. The rutile shines nicely red when illuminated directly. While there are a number of rutile crystals on this specimen, the biggest and most impressive aggregation is prominently sitting at the very top and has a length of 1.1 cm. This is an exceptional rutile of uttermost perfection.

When I think of intensive pink color I have this very special specimen of rubellite in mind! The single crystal strikes with absolutely impressive pink color that is uniform throughout the whole crystal! And make no mistake, the color in the pictures is quite realistic! Have a look on our video for further assurance! This rather thick and solid rubellite is translucent to even transparent with great luster on all sides and a flat, frosted termination. The whole thing is flawless, even the bottom is not broken but contacted! It was found in Paprok, where rubellite is known but exceedingly rare when it comes to such color and perfection!
Color and composition of this small cabinet amethyst sceptre are absolutely stunning and extremely rare! The piece was found in the 1980s by the famed collector Heinz Kirchtag who was digging near the "Saurüssel", a distinctive rock formation.
The main body is transparent quartz with chlorite inclusions staining it dark green. Atop this body are several sceptre heads the largest of which is prominently set at the very top of the specimen to show its bright purple color! All sceptre heads are glassy, sharp, flawless, lustrous and with the most intensive and bright purple color!
Around the bottom of this piece is some characteristic muscovite plus orange-brown limonite. A real stunner in person as you very well can see in our video!
A marvelous tourmaline with lepidolite from Paprok in Afghanistan! The piece is a real jewel of uttermost perfection and incredibly beautiful design! The multi-colored tourmaline is highly lustrous and gemmy with especially well quality towards the termination! The completely flawless crystal is attached to a well proportioned piece of appealing purplish lepidolite which sums up to a just lovely tourmaline matrix piece!
This is a cabinet size exemplar from the famous topaz find at Fazenda do Centro that has all the features this lot is known for! The glassy topaz is all etched - not broken - with nice surface structure and pristine luster all around! Some champagne colored tinge is present but not dominant. The piece is in very good condition overall with only small edge-wear that is hardly visible due to the complex shape and etchings. What's most striking here is the unusual shape that immediately reminds me of a lovely little dog. Very attractive in person and with no downsides!
A single 3.5 cm long tourmaline stands out from a vivid cluster of tourmaline, lepidolite and albite. The main crystal is completely gemmy, flawless, nicely terminated and with beautiful green and pink colors. The matrix is also in very good condition with only one broken crystal but the rest being all intact and unharmed. A very unusual and delicate piece from this important locale!
Quartz from this remote locale is rather rare so it is even more impressive to find this doubly terminated 14 cm exemplar! The crystal is clear with only slight clouds towards the lower end. The tapered shape results in delicate striations from bottom to top which are especially beautiful on the highly lustrous front! This fine quartz is 100% flawless and of very nice quality!
The Austrian Saurüssel is well known among collectors for outstanding amethyst specimens as well as beautiful hematite roses. Less known are colorless quartz specimen yet here we have a specimen that tops the vast majority of quartz from this famous locale! A group of high-quality quartz prisms is set on a naturally broken piece of granite gneiss. That matrix is covered in quartz micro-crystals and some orange limonite that adds color and contrast. The quartz itself is water-clear, sharp and contains beautiful byssolite needles at the core. The piece is in very good condition. Minimal damage is present though hardly disturbing or even visible from the front view. A highly attractive specimen for its unusual, appealing aesthetics and the superb crystal quality!
The so called "Plattenbrüche" - Kaiserer and Lohning quarry - are source of a number of excellent Alpine tourmaline specimens. The crystals on our specimen are 3-dimensionally arranged and show a rich fire-red color, especially at the thinner needles. Some associated white calcite adds contrast to the otherwise dark, yet very much sparkling specimen. The backside also features some rust-red rutile. The condition is overall fine with some contacts but no actual damage. This is doubtlessly a superb piece of Alpine tourmaline!
The architecture of this quartz specimen is just incredibly complex! The main structure is a razor sharp pyramidal termination with distinctive "windows" that is just water-clear! Further down however, the crystal dissipates into an increasing number of smaller crystals, sparkling patterns and doubly terminated projecting alcoves. Absolutely mesmerizing in person, like a castle with hundreds of towers! Turning the piece around you see a massive quartz crystal but which is completely re-crystallized with highly lustrous and well structured surfaces all around. No damage, just mindblowing perfection!
