During the 1990s some of the best Alpine titanite specimens have been found in the Hollersbach valley. This amazing specimen features a single twin-crystal of gemmy green (at the center) and brown (towards both terminations) color! It has a dramatic size of 3.5 cm and is completely perfect!
The crystal is set on grey rock matrix that has titanite microcrystals all over it.
A superb and unique specimen, found by Andreas Steiner.
Galena from Neudorf counts among the European top-classics and are featured in the most important mineral museums around the globe!
This is one especially bright, brilliant, well composed specimen of classic galena with quartz and siderite that shows a single isolated galena on a contrasting background of brown siderite and pristinely white quartz. The whole piece is in outstanding condition and of marvelous textbook aesthetics!
The single galena is set right at the dividing line that separates the white quartz on the left from the amber brown siderite on the right. This special composition adds a kind of "yin and yang" aesthetics that is unique and absolutely amazing in person!
A near perfect doubly terminated aquamarine of intensive ocean blue color that is characteristic only for the Medina pegmatite field. The surface has slight etchings which creates a superb beautiful structure with best luster! Towards the terminations the prism is slanted and etched which gives a very special appearance to this outstanding crystal! With gemmy interior, great luster and overwhelming color this is a brilliant aquamarine in excellent condition!
An attractive composition of two elongated high quality smoky quartz crystals with some rock matrix around the connecting point. Both crystals are transparent, sharp, lustrous and with excellent pyramidal terminations. The longer crystal has some abrasion at one edge but is otherwise flawless.
Most special about this single crystal quartz is certainly the unusual "bend" it shows at the lower part. Apparently the crystal broke during growth and later on reconnected which gave it that impossible shape. The quartz has brilliant quality all over. Great transparency and luster and a flawless termination. If you like unusual crystals, this one might be just the one for you!
A single pink fluorite octahedron sits on a natural feldspar rich rock matrix. The fluorite has no damage and is very well shaped. Its color is not particularly strong but it is there nonetheless as you can see in our picture and video. A lovely little specimen without any downsides!
A new find near the city of Hyderabad has recently produced a number of amazing phantom quartz specimens. This one is a lovely spray of glassy crystals with superb hematite phantoms inside! The crystals shows brilliant quality and are in great condition with only minimal abrasions. Through the glassy quartz you have a wonderful view on the very distinctive purple to red phantoms. Colorful and highly appealing!
This quartz on a slate/limonite matrix is a truly beautiful little piece. The quartz is particularly brilliant. It is sharp, transparent, highly lustrous, and undamaged. Beneath the main quartz sits a rutile crystal in a shape quite characteristic for the locale.
The great phantoms inside these crystals of quartz make this group really amazing. The chlorite inside the very glassy crystals is bright shining and very typical for this locality. Though, I have rarely seen this at such a good group of quartz. It's pristine all around!
Another very nice specimen of albite! This is one of just a few matrix specimens out from this find.
One more very nice fluorite with great appearance!
Another striking smoky quartz from Val Giuv out of the recent find. This specimen has a great aesthetics and quality. The luster and color are very good and so is the clarity. Most of the specimens which I have seen consists of too much crystals grown togehter without any main crystal, or just have bad damage. Very special in person.
