I especially like the striking outline this piece provides. The main crystal is accompanied by smaller side crystals of matching quality, glassy and lustrous. The surface is in fact something unusual here. As you can see in the video, the lustrous crystal faces are speckled with amorphous dull shapes, which reminds me of a world map with continents and oceans. The bottom of this specimen is contacted but not broken. Aside of some tiny edgewear this piece is in excellent condition. A lovely piece of appealing charm!
A brilliant and outstanding paragenesis, beautifully composed of top-quality minerals. Black schorl crystals with beautifully structured terminations stand aside colorless quartz and a slightly orange topaz crystal. All crystals are flawless, nicely shaped and nested in a snow-white albite matrix. A well balance specimen of unusually fine combination and eye-catching 3-dimensional aesthetics!
A characteristic specimen of spessartine on feldspar that offers great contrast and sparkling gem red crystals. The largest garnets are a little over 1 cm in diameter, sharp and lustrous as are the other crystals covering the feldspar matrix. The crystals offer intensive blood-red color and very well developed shape.
This adularia specimen is especially lustrous and translucent, at some corners even transparent. It is a 360° floater with some matrix visible, accompanied by water-clear quartz, small hematite and even tiny traces of rutile, making this a typical Alpine adularia specimen. Being free of damage and stuffed with nice little details, this is a piece worth collecting!
A distinctive floater specimen of transparent to white quartz with beautiful green chlorite phantoms inside. The quartz is arranged as three "fingers" with a couple of smaller side-crystals and extensive backside chloritisation around the center. The piece is overall in very good condition with some minor issues along the terminations. A striking quartz specimen from the rather uncommon locale!
This simple quartz crystal has much to offer. Beautifully structured surface on all sides stretches around a completely glassy and transparent core. Minimal chloritization makes the tip somewhat rough but even with the loupe you will find no flaws here. Save for some small and hard to identify chips at the otherwise crystallized bottom the piece is all complete and free of damage. The brilliance of surface and crystal core really shine and impresse at this single Rauris-quartz!
Two beautiful quartz crystals set on a well balanced piece of matrix, all naturally grown and crystallized. Both crystals are complete and flawless. The body is glassy from tip to base with fantastic luster all around. The terminations are sharp and pointed with minimal chloritizations on the pyramidal faces. Beautiful enough the matrix shows chlorite and small quartz crystal on all sides, meaning it is not trimmed but completely natural. This is a small but strikingly brilliant exemplar of Alpine quartz on matrix!
Fantastic luster on all sides, razor-sharp edges and a lovely purple color at the pointed termination are making this specimen totally special. The shape is quite intriguing, a stack of several parallel, intergrown crystals. The bottom and lower backside are broken but mostly rehealed. A marvelous amethyst with a perfect main view and a backside that is somewhat irregular but free of actual damage all the same.
This doubly terminated quartz has a smoky tinge to it and is nicely presented on a small piece of rock matrix. The crystal is glassy and lustrous with some chloritization at the terminations. It is complete and without even the smallest abrasions. Very unusual and attractive specimen of Alpine quartz!
See the great colors on the pictures, taken under different light environment! While under artificial light this massive but lovely crystallized fluorite shows the brightest, most intensive purple color right to its core, this changes to a colder, blueish color. The crystal is completely flawless without even contacts and shows most complex, mesmerizing etchings all around. This is a magically radiating specimen of best quality and amazing visual impact!
A thumbnail specimen from the legendary finds in Pontes e Lacerda that strikes with its rather unusual shape, featuring particularly sharp crystals! Shaped like a twig this piece appears all organic and lovely in a 3-dimensional way. Color and luster are well enough though I have admittedly seen better. The sharp crystals on the other hand are exceptional and as there is no damage or contact. This is a spotless choice from this outstanding locale!
Neat, compact and overall attractive. Two main quartz crystals with a slight smoky hue protrude from a brown piece of matrix, accompanied by several quartz side-crystals. Aesthetics and outline are totally appealing in person and with no considerable damage in sight, this is a good choice for the locale and Alpine quartz in general.
