RK165 - Smoky Quartz - Sold
Brandberg Area, Erongo Region, Namibia
Size: 7.6 x 4 x 3.6 cm

Characteristic smoky clouds inside this "trident" quartz scepter unmistakably mark it as a piece from Brandberg Area. The shape of this smoky quartz is absolutely unusual, three intergrown crystals with chisel-point terminations tapering to a single narrow pedestal. Some edgewear to the terminations is evident but overall this piece is in well condition. A highly attractive and unusually aesthetic smoky quartz specimen from Brandberg.

This doubly-terminated, clear, greenish yellow heliodor shows the typical etching of classic Volodarsk specimens. It is a superb example of perfection showing not a single scratch or internal crack. An absolutely fantastic piece that has no downsides whatsoever.

SL30 - Opal var. Hyalite - Sold
Tarcal, Eperjes-Tokaj Mts., Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén, Hungary
Size: 5.1 x 4.8 x 2.2 cm

Like a waterdrop, splashing on solid rock, frozen in time. This hyalite is absolutely water-clear, highly lustrous and simply beautiful. It is perched on a piece of matrix of just the right proportion and good contrast. At closer look you will find some tiny chips here - the reason for the low price - but which are actually hard to notice due to the amorphous structure of totally limpid opal. Unusual, dashy and lovely in person.

RK193 - Pericline - Sold
Grieswies, Rauris, Pinzgau, Salzburg, Austria
Size: 6.6 x 4.4 x 3.5 cm

Very nice floater specimen of pericline on schist matrix in best condition all around. The crystals are encrusted with some limonite which adds the characteristic orange-brown color without covering too much of the white blocky crystals. At close view you can see some rutile in a sagenite grid. The closer you look, the more this piece has to offer!

PB116 - Pyrite - Sold
Racracancha mine, Tinyahuarco district, Pasco Province, Peru
Size: 10.1 x 8.1 x 5.1 cm

A group of cubical pyrite crystals the largest of which is over 4 cm on edge from the now abandoned Racracancha mine. All crystals have a shiny golden color and nice striations on all sides as is characteristic for the finds that all occured in the last 10 years. The backside is completely contacted but the front is near perfect with just a couple of minimal abrasions. A rather rare specimen of great quality and nice visual impact!

CM31 - Dioptase - Sold
Tantara Mine, Shinkolobwe, Katanga, Democratic Republic of Congo
Size: 6.1 x 3.2 x 5.5 cm

The color of this dioptase is very much intriguing and, as I have to admit, definitely much fresher and brighter than we were able to capture on the picture (green is always difficult to naturally photograph). There is sparkling luster and gemminess all over this compact dioptase surface that shows no damage, only some peripheral contacts. Very attractive in person!

FA84 - Vanadinite - Sold
Mibladen, Midelt, Khenifra Province, Morocco
Size: 9.5 x 6.7 x 5.2 cm

A beautiful floater specimen of intensive red vanadinite, richly strewn over an earthy-brown matrix. The crystals show best color and luster are sharp and in very best condition! The backside has a somewhat brownish coating and is covered with only smaller vanadinite but the front is a sheer fireworks of luster and striking red color! There sure has been a great number of vanadinite coming from Mibladen but this is without question a good one!

RK264 - Adularia - Sold
Untersulzbachtal, Pinzgau, Salzburg, Austria
Size: 6.6 x 4 x 3.7 cm

Have you ever seen adularia in a scalenohedral shape? Well, we have. This crystal of excellent quality perfectly sits on a 3-dimensional matrix that is coverd in smaller sparkling crystals. Clear, sharp and free of damage this adularia specimen is a truly unusual piece of exceptional aesthetics!

AT62 - Smoky Quartz - Sold
Floitengrund, Zillertal, Tyrol, Austria
Size: 10.2 x 4.1 x 3 cm

While the interior of this smoky quartz is mostly coulded and non-transparent the surface is nicely lustrous with striations from bottom to top. Towards the termination, where you will also find some glassy patches, the color is especially intensive which is rare for the locale and the most special aspect of this piece. Unusual and in exceptionally well condition!

PB182 - Silver - Sold
Uchucchacua Mine, Province de Oyon, Peru
Size: 5 x 2.4 x 0.8 cm

This is the "S" for Saphira and Silver! (or maybe a Dollar-sign. Or if your name is Sarah, well so be it). The silver is a floater and completely free of any damage. It is depicted in the book "Peru - paradise of minerals" as a showpiece for the locale. The unusual shape is just striking in person and renders this piece an true masterpiece who's impact utterly defies the modest size. Surprising, beautiful and outstandingly elegant!

RK308 - Quartz Sceptre - Sold
Floitengrund, Zillertal, Tyrol, Austria
Size: 10.8 x 5.7 x 2.7 cm

This quartz specimen shows sceptre habit and a slight purple tinge at the termination both of which is characteristic for the locale. It has a nice surface structure all over with very good luster. The backside is almost totally contacted where the crystal seemingly grew on a flat surface. At the left side, right below the main termination, there is a damaged/contacted patch which seems mostly but not completely re-healed.

XY5 - Quartz - Sold
Val Bedretto, Tessin, Switzerland

I especially like the striking outline this piece provides. The main crystal is accompanied by smaller side crystals of matching quality, glassy and lustrous. The surface is in fact something unusual here. As you can see in the video, the lustrous crystal faces are speckled with amorphous dull shapes, which reminds me of a world map with continents and oceans. The bottom of this specimen is contacted but not broken. Aside of some tiny edgewear this piece is in excellent condition. A lovely piece of appealing charm!
