Guerrero is famous for its highly appreciated amethysts of fine quality. I have seen a lot of clusters in the past, while really nice pieces are pretty rare though, especially when it comes to matrix specimens like this. The interaction of the purple amethyst and the beautiful yellow-brown matrix is unbelievable on this specimen. The amethyst is furiously shooting out in all directions, what makes the piece very 3-dimensional and showy also from the sides. The piece is in a very good condition, while one of the crystals has a damage worth to mention, but luckily pointed to the back and not visible from the front side therefore. As there are many main crystals on that piece, this is fully accaptable. It was in the collection of the University of Arizona in Tucson for many years! They have a very fine selection of amethysts, but this piece is the best specimen on matrix I have seen there. Really stunning and sweet! The Tsumeb Mine is famous for producing the best mimetite crystals worldwide. Highlight of the Tsumeb history is the legendary "gem pocket" from '71. Unprecedentedly sharp edged crystals of perfect transparency, attractive yellow color and a typical shape of elongated hexagonal prixms with basal pinacoid terminations have come from this small pocket that produced only around 30 specimens. This is one of those fantastic and highly coveted "gem pocket" mimetites. A considerable number of richly sparkling crystals are attractively arranged on matrix to form this wonderful and outstanding specimen. The whole piece is in remarkable condition with all main crystals flawless and only some minor peripheral issues. A real marvel and an incredibly rare chance!

This is one of the very finest tourmaline we have ever seen coming from Burma! The color you see in the picture is real and stands in stark contrast to the white quartz-matrix. A pristine play of gemmy pink tourmaline and lustrous clear quartz that blooms like a flower, sweet as nectar and with a mysterious inner glow. Somewhere on this piece there are small gapfills but which are so small and insignificant that even I forgot where to search for them. A staggering piece of outstanding quality and beauty!

In short, this is as good as it gets! The quality of this dramatic single isolated aquamarine on matrix is breathtaking. It is absolutely water-clear, has pristine luster and a unusually fine tapered, polyhedral termination. At the right angle you can see on vertical internal crack, reaching down only about half a centimeter from the top which is absolutely nothing to be concerned about. The crystal is perched on a vivid white feldspar matrix with black contrasting schorl. This is an older specimen, found in the 90s, that never lost anything of its matchless class. A real jewel!
