This is a very nice combination of sparkling calcite and Arsenopyrite! Also the bootom side of the matrix is well crystallized with small calcites. Perfect all around!
What a great, shiny piece! Large plates of hematite up to 3 cm in diameter are stacked together, showing mirroring metallic luster on many facets. The narrow edges reflect the light in catchy tempering colors. Backside and the front are matchingly beautiful while at the back there is one single chipping worth mentioning. As is characteristic for Alpine hematite there are small fire-red rutile crystals on the hematete's surface the largest of which is 0.5 cm long. All in all this is a fantastic piece in great condition with only some peripheral damage at the bottom that do not compromise its overal visual splendor!
The sweeping shape and the vivid sparkling quality make this an eye-catcher of very best and beautiful aesthetic! Glassy white quartz crystals of varying size are stacked upon each other, upright like an attacking cobra! Somewhere in betwee the quartz there are some yellowish calcite rhombohedrons adding some contrast. A spectacular specimen in very best condition!
No, there is nothing wrong or exaggerated at the picture: this incredibly vibrant color is real! This large and impressive matrix of characteristic mica schist holds several brilliant emerald crystals that strongly contrast with the silvery background. The emerald is lustrous and gemmy but most outstanding is the intensive color that we have hardly ever seen on Habachtal emerald. Embedded in naturally broken matrix of just the right proportion, this is a fantastic piece of rarely seen quality!
Quality and aesthetics of this large cabinet size specimen are exceptional and outstanding for this material that commonly comes as brown to orange and very often dull crystals. What we see here are bright and gemmy cherry red cog wheels up to 1.5 cm in diameter that are three-dimensionally arranged on a beautiful manganese oxide-coated barite matrix. The individual vanadinites are absolutely spectacular with great luster and striking color that emanates from the gemmy crystals even at low illumination and virtually explodes at direct downlight. Shape, quality and condition are all top notch on this marvelous specimen!
A single anatase main crystal of stunning size and quality is attached to a highly attractive and beautifully aesthetic quartz group with characteristic chlorite inclusions. The anatase is a perfect bi-pyriamidal crystal and 1.8 cm long. It shows best luster, is sharp and flawless. The quartz is equally perfect, a floater in fact, and shows wonderful textbook arrangement. Absolutely marvelous in person and one of a kind in respect of aesthetics and perfection!
This miniature features a single carrolite crystal at the center of a white calcite matrix. The calcite is lustrous at the lower parts and covered in a fine layer of chalcopyrite micro crystals further up. The carrolite is a perfect cubo-octahedral crystal of bright silver luster with a size of around 1 cm in diameter. A lovely little specimen of this splendid mineral!
The unusual color combination of this aesthetic fluorite specimen is quite intriguing especially when lit from the back which brings out the intensive purple phantoms that rest inside these honey-yellow fluorite cubes. This is a formation of several stacked cubes of fine translucent quality. The sides are contacted but not broken. The bottom is re-healed. There is one single chip at the larger crystal but which does not distract from the great visual impact of this piece. At the faces of the fluorite you will find tiny metallic grains, presumably chalcopyrite. Remarkable crystal size, appealing composition and stunning colors are combined to this amazing and exceptional piece.
Epidote from the Alpine type clefts of Pakistan are a well known species that impresses with gemmy quality and a multitude of different shapes!
This floater specimen shows sweeping aesthetics of several parallel grown epidote crystals in varying size. The aggregate is complete without any damage and only very minimal abrasions. All crystals are very much gemmy, especially towards the terminations and have brilliant luster on both sides.
This 2.4 cm long brookite is from a recent find in the Alpine-type clefts of the Kharan district. It's a transparent auburn crystal with a perfect termination that protrudes from a lovely little group of well developed quartz crystals. The size of this brookite is rather dramatic and apart from a small chip at the backside it's all complete and perfect.
Many crystals of very good quality, up to 1.5 cm in size, are well-placed on the very typical matrix for this locale. On this specimen you find both, demantoide and also topazolite, what is visible through the difference in color. Much better in person!
The size of this crystal is just impressive, considering the rareness of this mineral. Still, what’s most attractive about this piece is the spectacular coloring of a golden brown and a deep cherry red at the center. I have to admit, the pictures and video do not give enough credit to this remarkable aspect. The main flaw about this specimen is a damaged area at the side of the crystal. Still, this bastnäsite is a pleasure for the eye that has a lot to offer: great color, size, termination and generally an excellent impact.
