High quality blood red hessonite crystals with a silvery association of muscovite. The largest crystal has 0,7 cm in diameter and is over very best, sharp quality! I totally love the contrast of the gemmy, sparkling red crystals on the bed of muscovite. The whole piece is without damage and stunningly beautiful!
Main attraction on this lovely paragenesis is certainly the glassy fluorite cube that is attached directly to the heavy black ferberite. It is transparent, highly lustrous and sharp without any damage and it shows a nice light blue color. The ferberite is largely coated in silvery mica but which leaves open a window at the front so you can see ferberite, mica and fluorite all combined on this attractive specimen!
Simply superb, this piece of azurite on matrix shows a terrific color combination of sparkling blue and velvet green. Marvellous composition, perfect quality and crystallization, as well as a striking contrast of colors are forming this splendid specimen. Very rarely do we find comparable pieces of such perfect aesthetics!
This classic paragenesis is a complete floater that is covered with a rich abundancy of different minerals! Most significant is the very rare gaudefroyite that comes as black and shiny hexagonal prisms many of which are over one centimeter long. Pieces with such a rich display of this rare material are exclusive for the Kalahari manganese fields and thus very much desired. Between black gaudefroyite there is contrasting red andradite, transparent calcite, white barite as well as some metallic black hausmannite at the edge. A classic and characteristic association for the region. Due to the sheer weight of piece some damage is unavoidable but the overall impression is very good and without any major issues.
The beautiful white pericline matrix is scene for one metallic red rutile crystal that is rather exceptional for the locale that is well known for its Alpine type minerals. The opaque crystal is striated and lustrous and easily shows its red color even at normal room light. The pericline is also in best condition with only peripheras contacts. Very nice in aesthetics and a real rarity for this locale!
Quartz from this remote locale is rather rare so it is even more impressive to find this doubly terminated exemplar! The crystal is clear from bottom to top with only minimal clouds inside. The surface is all lustrous with very little iron oxide coating here and there that adds some nice golden color to the otherwise colorless crystal. A fine quartz in fantastic condition and of lovely quality!
Unlike most specimens of pure brucite this one has a massive rock matrix which very much emphasizes the individual isolated brucite crystals. The brucite comes as deeply yellow, translucent and shiny spheres which look amazing on matrix. The area where the brucites are grown is covered by a glistening carpet of microscopic crystals of hydromagnesite. It's an amazing specimen of strong color and striking contrast!
Enargite is a rare species, particularly for the Huanzala Mine which is best known for its superb pyrite specimens and great fluorite. The short prismatic crystals are of metallic grey color with some rust brown coating and minimal weathering. Between the enargite is some pyrite, sparkling golden microcrystals. The overall aesthetics of this rare specimen is just great with no visible damage anywhere!
Diopside from this locale is well known but this specimen about doubles the size of what's possible! With over 10 cm in length and intensive forest green color this crystal is a real stunner. The elongated crystal is highly lustrous from bottom to top with a nice pyramidal termination. It is part gemmy, part opaque but no matter how you turn it, there is always a flashy emerald green part to reflect the light! Very impressive in size and quality!
This little jewel impresses with stunning quality and beauty! The brookite is well developed, sharp, lustrous and with a gemmy deep red color that is absolutely outstanding and much more appealing than the usual brown crystals! The main brookite is doubly terminated and accompanied by a smaller crystal and some quartz around the base. A small ding on the edge greatly reduces the price on this otherwise amazing little specimen!
This is a very nice thumbnail specimen of emerald on matrix from Nova Era.
The locale is not quite known for specimen quality material as most finds only produced big unappealing chunks. This specimen however is an exception!
The 1.7 cm long and 1.5 cm thick single emerald crystal is set on a characteristic black biotite-graphite schist matrix which provides a wonderful contrast to the crystal.
The emerald itself is gemmy and intensively green and shows a well defined hexagonal prism. The termination is has two intergrown smaller emeralds stacked upon it, all of which is well crystallized and undamaged. It’s for sure an exceptional piece from Nova Era!
This lovely sky-blue single crystal tourmaline has quite the presence, supported through glassy quality, luster and most importantly the intriguing termination. Like a crown atop the otherwise uniform crystal the termination is of intensive pink color with a complex architecture and best gemmy quality! The whole specimen is in best condition and really an attractive beauty!
