What a stunning twin from the Elmwood Mine! This crystal has a beautiful shape, is very gemmy with a deep cognac color and great luster. The specimen is well-crystallized all around and at the base it is grown into some matrix. It is definitely a perfect fit for all advanced collectores, who are looking for a very good specimen from this mine. Very 3-dimensional and much better in person!
Many crystals of very good quality, up to 1.5 cm in size, are well-placed on the very typical matrix for this locale. On this specimen you find both, demantoide and also topazolite, what is visible through the difference in color. Much better in person!
The size of this crystal is just impressive, considering the rareness of this mineral. Still, what’s most attractive about this piece is the spectacular coloring of a golden brown and a deep cherry red at the center. I have to admit, the pictures and video do not give enough credit to this remarkable aspect. The main flaw about this specimen is a damaged area at the side of the crystal. Still, this bastnäsite is a pleasure for the eye that has a lot to offer: great color, size, termination and generally an excellent impact.
Color, luster and sharpness of this amethyst are downright marvelous! This is more then a single crystal and we have only rarely seen crystals of this visual impression. Especially the dark purple coloring of the scepter is amazing and very nicely visible due to its clarity and surface. The surface itself is smooth at the termination and striated at the body with very good luster. A wonderful detail of this specimen is the second crystal that pokes out at the bottom of the main crystal and adds much to the overall aesthetics of this specimen.
This beautiful quartz holds a terrific phantom inside its glassy body. The fantastic thing about it is that you can view the chlorite phantom literally from all sides as the quartz has no crack and no cloudy regions. Accompanied by a smaller quartz at the side, this crystal impresses with many details and a nice combination of colors at surface and innards. The crystal has one chip at the tip, but is cheaper therefore and still a real jewel!
Like a sculpture of solid light, this specimen stands out as a magnificent and elegant piece. It is out of a smaller find from two years ago. Only few specimens arrive at the market these last years, so we are happy to present such a brilliant piece. The whole sculpture is in perfect condition and remarkably beautiful. Outstanding for its lovely aesthetics and the superb quality alike. Please note: Due to its fragility hand delivery is a must at this specimen. Please contact us, so we can arrange a meeting!
This combination of fluorite, pyrite, quartz and some calcite is uniquely graceful! The perfect contrast underlines the bright purple color of this lustrous and clear fluorite. Supported by sparkling pyrite cubes and white quartz and calcite the appearance of this specimen is just dramatic. This piece is even a floater and thus beautifully crystallized on all sides. This piece was in the collection of Paul Geffner and we are happy to offer a piece of such a fantastic composition!
This is a wonderful exemplar of the rare mineral bastnäsite. The crystal shows a satiated oragnge-brown color and is limpid. The termination is complete and undamaged. Also the bottom is crystallized and despite a contact at the lower backside there is nothing to worry about at this specimen. A rare marvel of superb quality!
A marvelous sculpturesque skeletal quartz, 360° etched and beautiful. The quartz is completely water-clear with thousands of sparkling faces and great structure. Finding any flaws here takes long and intensive search and results only in tiny chips at one or two spots. Almost invisible and definitely irrelevant on a striking piece like this. It's exceedingly hard to find these beautiful floater pieces from Felbertal so I am glad to present this bright and stunning specimen!
Elba Island is one of the great classical localities of Europe and has produce a great many different minerals over the centuries. While, as type locality of elbaite, Elba is primarily known for fine tourmaline specimens, many other great mineral specimens have been unearthed here. This pristine hematite, embedded in a nest of fine white quartz, is a shiny example for a recent find producing such high quality classics. The main crystal is like a dark, shiny pearl, aesthetically centered between white quartz needles and a massy black hematite slab. The metallic luster has a red tinge to it, revealed at closer inspection under direct downlight. This is a great hematite specimen that is in overall well condition. Yes, there is a dinge at the main crystal (not as dramatic as it might look at first glance) that drops the price here but if you can live with that, you will be delighted by the excellent aesthetics of this wonderful piece!
A cluster of several quartz crystals, chaotically arranged but of nice quality and widely free of damage. Even the backside is fully crystallized, as are all contacted or broken faces. The terminations of some of the crystals seem a little rough but at closer view there is no fresh damage to be detected. The matrix at the background is a nice agglomeration of calcite and quartz. As a small gift you will find a red rutile, around 3 mm in size. This is a fine piece of very good crystal quality and an appealing 3-dimensional look!
Purely breathtaking, this attractive purple fluorite has everything a masterpiece of this caliber needs! Great color, clarity, luster and a composition that is nothing short of perfect! The piece does not need much illumination, the color and light appear just like out of nowhere. Anyway, if illuminated from the back it becomes a sparkling ball of purple fire, dotted with golden spots of pyrite. The piece is a floater and - except for two tiny wears, that are discernible only at very close view - in superb condition. A true miracle of nature and definitely one of the very best pieces we have ever seen coming to the market.
