Size: 6.6 x 4.8 x 2.3 cm

A single sharp cuprite tetrahedron lurks in a small vug, sparkling with calcite and quartz micro-crystals. The crystal is hardly grown into the matrix so the perfect shape is exceptioinally well visible. Below the silky surface is a relatively clear crystal but which needs much direct light to reveal the deep red color we so much love on this mineral species.
A particularly natural specimen with a sharp cuprite at the center!

A highly lustrous and well defined hematite thumbnail of highest perfection! The jet black hematite is developed as sharp hexagonal aggregates that are flawless and shiny all around! The surface is studded with micro crystals of mica but which in no way compromised the striking beauty of this small but impressive specimen!

A lovely amethyst sceptre showing "windows" as is characteristic for specimen from Mörchnerkar. The sceptre body is of colorless quartz while its head shows nice purple color. The surface is mostly frosted but the terminal faces are highly lustrous and sharp. There is some minor damage to this piece though mostly just contacts or re-crystallized issues. Definitely a nice and distinctive Alpine amethyst specimen!

Two lovely amethyst scepters with "windows" on the pyramidal faces are sitting on a small pice of matrix like a pair of mushrooms. Highly aesthetic and of very good quality with hardly any visible damage. An appealing small cabinet piece with glassy crystals, faint but visible amethyst color and appealing composition!

A roughly heart-shaped apatite of great quality sits on a 3-dimensional matrix, crystallized with pericline, mica, chlorite and smaller apatite. The piece has literally no downside as it is a complete floater. Especially the main crystal is impressive: It is largely transparent, lustrous and beautifully developed with characteristic bevelled edges. It has a damage at the lower right side but most of which is rehealed and not visible from the front anyway.
A remarkably beautiful Alpine apatite of great aesthetics from an uncommon locale!

Like two red strawberries, these fluorite octahedrons are embedded in a cluster of greyish white calcite. Especially the larger main crystal is rather impressive. It has stunning clarity, a perfectly developed shape and intensive pink color! The calcite is a bit rough but not damaged at all as is the rest of this specimen. Very good Alpine fluorite in person!

Wow, what a breathtaking titanite! This high level of perfection is something you surely don't see every day! The single crystal is razor-sharp, super lustrous and of intensive olive green color! It is translucent to even transparent at the middle section with only very minimal chlorite inclusions at the backside. Felbertal titanite counts among the worlds best with this very specimen to be rated exceedingly high! There is no damage or any kind of abrasion here at all! A masterpiece of Alpine titanite!

This one is a very straight forward single crystal that shows strikingly intensive color!
The main body has a smooth transition from ocean blue to mossy green. Right at the termination there is a sharp 2mm zone of very bright pink wich is a nice eye-catcher. The crystal is gemmy from bottom to top and lustrous. There are tourmaline micro-crystals scattered over parts of the surface which makes a certain structure without disturbing from the overall elegance of this fine specimen!

QR5 - Quartz - Sold
Ritterkopf, Rauris, Pinzgau, Salzburg, Austria
Size: 14.8 x 3.7 x 3.7 cm

Quartz from this remote locale is rather rare so it is even more impressive to find this doubly terminated 14.8 cm exemplar! The crystal is clear with only slight clouds towards the lower end. The tapered shape results in delicate striations from bottom to top which are especially beautiful on the highly lustrous front! The bottom itself is crystallized and shows beautiful structure. Very nice and of best quality with no damage anywhere!

Color and clarity of this morganite are just exceptional! A real jewel that catches the eye immediately! Sure, there are much larger and more massive crystals out there but when it comes down to quality and beauty, this single crystal is hard to beat! We got the piece from the private collection of Gene Meieran which very much stands for highest quality standards! The crystal is perfectly developed all around and is associated with some small quartz at its base. A tiny chip on the left edge is the single issue on this specimen but which is not too easily visible and easily acceptible on a striking and marvelous specimen like this!

It's a lovely specimen of best composition that features crystals up to around 2 cm in a sweeping three-dimensional arrangement. The crocoites are bright orange with nice shimmering luster and sharp undamaged terminations. A remarkable specimen despite the small size!

A classic prismatic quartz crystal of transparent interior is completely covered in a uniform not-too-heavy coating of chlorite microcrystals which makes it strikingly unique! Also the bottom is fully crystallized and partly covered in chlorite. There is no damage whatsoever. The coating grants the crystal a fabric-like texture which feels and looks quite wonderful. Still, through this chlorite you can easily see the internal transparency of the crystal, which is amazingly beautiful if you have some love for the unusual and natural! Found by Gottlieb Obkircher some 20 years ago.
