One single augelite crystal sits atop a white quartz matrix that provides a stark contrast to the grass green main crystal. The augelite itself is of excellent quality and flawless. The quartz is milky white, lustrous and shows some hübnerite inclusions that actually make this fine piece even more vivid. The whole composition of this piece is like a perfect cooperation to emphasize the augelite at its center. Its nice to see such brilliant augelite coming from the Mundo Nuevo Mine.

While the individual crystals are rather small (the largest reach a little over 4mm on edge) this whole rock is very nice and crystallized on all sides which invites you to turn it around in your hand. The amber-brown and at some part white crystals cover a metallic black matrix that is visible only at the bottom. There is no damage anywhere so this is a charming piece with no downsides!

There has been quite a number of these hematite/rutile specimens from Novo Horizonte but most are just bits and pieces without much aesthetics. This specimen however is a rich assembly of several interlocked "straw stars" that's got captivating, almost artful beauty! The radial starbursts of straw yellow rutile needles emerge from central hematite plates which makes for the well known character that's so unique for this locale. The main eye-catcher is a cluster of around 4.5 cm that's very symmetric and well shaped. Attractive in person and in surprisingly well condition!

If you are as much into gwindels as we are, then you know how difficult it is to find thin specimens with a distinct twist. However, we'd like to show you this striking piece so go on and have a look on our video where this twist of around 55-60° is much better discernible. The whole gwindel is in good condition with no considerable damage and a recrystallized bottom. Indeed a wonderful piece in person and especially hard to come by!

It virtically protrudes from a vivid rock/quartz/adularia matrix that is completely crystallized on all sides. The quartz is limpid with only a few internal cracks and shows very good luster all around. Wonderful quality, amazing aesthetics and dramatic size are combined on this totally impressive Swiss smoky quartz specimen!

Brace yourself! This fantastic piece shows apple-green, sharp-edged titanite crystals of pristine quality on a contrasting silvery matrix that is lovely encrusted with snow-white feldspar. A totally outstanding piece from the Eiskögele north face with a frosty past. It was found under harshest conditions in 2003, the hottest summer in a century and probably the only summer such a find was even possible, as in other times the permafrost holds this region under its icecold reign. Its like a miracle that there is no damage at all on this incredible piece. Stop here in awe and have a look on our video!

Three colorless quartz crystals around 7 cm in length stick out of this quartz specimen like spikes at the back of an iguana. At the backside there is one crystal missing, the rest is all complete with only very minor edgewear. The quartz is glassy and lustrous, holding some second generation quartz and small white feldspar at the backside which is well visible through the transparent quartz crystals. An aesthetic and very much appealing piece of Rauris quartz!

This large and impressive specimen is a fantastic combination of apophyllite with chlorite on a massive skeletal quartz floater. The apophyllite covers the quartz like a layer of snow or, where it is encrusted with chlorite, like moss on a rock's surface. The Elfriedestollen (or Elfriede Tunnel) was driven through massive rock in the 70s and 80s as part of the constructioni of the hydroelectric power plant. As a by-product, several different minerals have been recovered in the process, this very piece to be one of the most spectacular and brilliant. A real stunner in person of exceptional sparkling quality!
