The contrast of this bright green olivine crystal on massive black magnetite-matrix is simply dramatic. Very rarely do you find this combination so we were lucky to get this specimen from an old collection. The backside of the crystal is contacted but which is not visible from the main view and thus acceptable, considering the rareness of this piece. A bright and striking specimen in person!
I love the textbook composition of this piece. One large doubly terminated quartz of extraordinary quality is embraced by charcoal grey clinochlore which gives a marvelous contrast. At the bottom you find a flawless white calcite crystal to round out the picture. This piece is in just marvelous condition and holds especially harmonic aesthetics as is rarely found in this extent!
The aesthetics of this tourmaline specimen is nothing less than breathtaking! A striking main crystal of brilliant colors is accompanied by some side-crystals and smaller purple crusts on the prism faces. The color of the main crystal is a deep cherry red with a termination that varies from apple-green to turquoise at the very tip. The termination itself is flat and perfectly flawless. The crystals is repaired with smaller gap fills, but fortunately that is not quite apparent at first sight due to so many beautiful aspects about this fantastic tourmaline. A true treasure of highest quality!
Another one of those tree-shaped epidote specimens with accompanying axinite crystals. Like a slightly smaller twin of the earlier specimen this epidote is in equally well condition and wonderfully aesthetic. A beautiful piece of charming character!
Like green icing on white sugar cubes, the dioptase forms a coating of microcrystals over white calcite. The rhombohedral calcite up to 0.8 cm on edge are evenly distributed about a grey matrix, the green dioptase has settled on it like snow, covering only the left upper faces. An absolutely lovely piece of light green and white color that's sparkling with hundreds and thousands of tiny crystals!
This geometrically stunning cerussite specimen with unusually thick and glassy crystals features a 3cm thick main trunk with branchings down to very thin crystals. It's kind of an asymmetrical snowflake-cerussite, very sharp, lustrous and heavy with the usual cyclic twinned crystals. Some smaller chips do not disturb at all on this excellent, classy piece from the world-famous Tsumeb Mine. The color is mostly translucent white with glassy transparent zones at the terminations but also smoky parts in some crystals. Very characteristic and remarkably elegant. For a better impression of its combined beauty, just watch our video!
Spectacular crystal of twinned cassiterite in very best shape and quality! The jet-black cassiterite is 7.8 cm in diameter and shows absolutely best luster on all sides! The backside has some contacts at the lower parts but the front is pure beauty with silvery white muscovite and some colorless fluorite which is uncommon for the locale!
A fantastic, sharp and dominant cassiterite specimen from the important locale at Xuebaoding Mountain!
The word "chaotic" comes to mind when viewing this large and impressive quartz cluster. The center holds a gwindel-like structure that's in fact a tabular "Faden" quartz. 3-dimensionally arranged around this center are docens of quartz crystals, often doubly terminated and with a distinct "Faden" running through it. Backside and bottom also are completely crystallized and show some iron oxide for contrast and color. This is a fascinating piece of untamed aesthetics and high quality!
Hold on to something, for this piece is totally going to knock your socks off! Its not just the simple rarity of this vivid combination. Pure aesthetics radiates from this piece and captures your instantaniously! Finding fluorite of this quality, color and size has become difficult nowadays, fining it on a sparkling pyrite-matrix combined with white calcite and metallic sphalerite is virtually impossible! This piece was by far the best out of a small pocket found about 20 years ago. The piece is in an excellent condition with contacts at the back and just one small ding at the left crystal, pointing to the back. Truly a fantastic piece that stands out on a world class level!
Wow! This rutile has everything an Alpine mineral specimen needs to be appreciated as a real classic. Two knee-twin crystals of brilliant blood-red color and sparkling luster are perched on a beautiful matrix that provides a perfect contrast. The matrix is grey at the lower part and shows a golden yellow covering as background for the rutile crystals. Incredibly there is not the slightest damage to be found anywhere on this remarkable piece of overwhelming quality. Aesthetics is one thing, crystal quality is the other. Seeing both combined on this piece in such a manner renders me rather speechless!
A lovely symmetrical quartz specimen of very fine quality that is virtually flawless all around. High luster and limpid crystals combine to this vivid piece. The backside holds some matrix which is visible through the glassy crystals. The right one of the three quartz crystals is contacted at the bottom which is about the only issue on this piece. A totally lovely piece for a low price!
Water-clear crystals and a distinctive fork-shape are distinguishing this quartz specimen. At the main crystals back you find some iron oxide and mica which adds a very nice color-effect. The bottom is perfectly recrystallized and free of damage as is the rest of this impressive little specimen.
