This is something we have not seen before: A glassy adularia crystal with attached iron roses!
This piece was found at the Austrian Mörchnerkar, famous for its beautiful hematites. But even here this kind of combination is almost nonexistent!
The main hematite aggreagate is right atop the adularia, has a diameter of 1.8 cm and is in outstanding condition.
A second “rose” is attractively perched at the adular’s side which makes for stunning textbook aesthetics!
The backside is covered in a cluster of muscovite with some hematite and a layer of chlorite, all in best condition.
This is a fantastic specimen all around and 100% unique!
This fantastic combination strikes with unusual yet highly attractive aesthetics! The rather large and sharp hematite aggreagates come as hexagonal plates with sharply cut edges and lovely sparkling rosettes at the faces. Associated with several of those interlocked hematite aggreagates there is white adularia and orange/brown siderite which both adds color and contrast. Much in favor of overall beauty! Ex. Hannes und Gerhard Hofer Collection!
The quality of this quartz is really like glass, highly lustrous and completely transparent. Looking inside through the large front face you look at beautiful inclusions of chlorite and rock but you can also see the backside where the quartz becomes more irregular. Turning the piece around you will find this irregular backside to be completely crystallized as well, resulting in this amazing landscape. This is a highly impressive quartz specimen in near flawless condition!
This brilliant specimen features a single meaty titanite twin crystal that is up to 7 mm thick and sharply developed! Especially on the front it shows bright luster and it is completely flawless. Some additional adularia on the side perfects the wonderful aesthetics! It is a superb little jewel in best shape and condition!
Beautiful sparkling white quartz arranged as a distinctively three-dimensional and highly appealing group! The quartz is all transparent and highly lustrous with sharp and complex architecture. The whole specimen is in fantastic condition and even the bottom is fully crystallized. Absolutely outstanding and incredibly beautiful!
This piece impresses with its shape and high quality in equal measure!
The quartz is glassy, shows wonderful luster and is in very best condition.
It is partly covered with chlorite and small adularia crystals, which makes it even more attractive and naturally appealing!
An amazing specimen that, as a complete floater, is crystallized and well shaped all around as you can best see in our video!
A single fluorite cube of excellent quality is set on an aesthetic and very much characteristic piece of sphalerite covered matrix. The fluorite is nicely translucent with a blueish purple color that is especially strong below the surface. And that surface is beautiful too, showing modifications aplenty and a lovely luster. Absolutely amazing! The crystal is in near-perfect condition, very much free all around and prominent!
Picture 1 was taken with artificial lighting, picture 2 in natural daylight.
The list of manganite occurances worldwide is short and it is no secret that the best specimens still are from Germany.
This is a wonderful manganite from the type locality Ilfeld that features a rich number of black crystals on a contrasting piece of white calcite.
It’s this contast that makes the pice special and beautiful in person!
The manganite crystals are very well developed, sharp, metallic black and grow all over the piece.
The condition is overall very good, especially the main view looks really stunning!
It is extremely hard to come by such a high quality specimen. The bright luster of those crystals and the contrasting white calcite are a stunning combination indeed!
A brilliant water clear Alpine quartz that strikes with absolutely impressive quality! The main crystal is sharp, limpid, highly lustrous and completely undamaged! It is set on (or better: grown through) a horizontal quartz of equally nice quality. The bottom is crystallized. Only one zone on the backside has some damage but that is not visible from the front. A pristine and amazingly beautiful specimen in person!
The single fluorite octahedron is all complete and undamaged. It is somewhat rounded through etchings and older contacts but it must otherwise have been completely preserved, perhas in the permanent ice of the glacier where it was found. The crystal has a nice pink color and great clarity. The surface has a frosted sheen and a fine structure. A fascinating crystal from the Mont Blanc Massif!
It's just the perfect composition you are looking for: A single fluorite cube, aesthetically perched on top of a microcline crystal.
The aesthetics is really impressive and the quality of the fluorite is top-notch as well.
If you shine into the crystal from the back, the colors virtually explode into your eye, just like in the picture!
The centre shows the intense green color that is characteristic for the region, while further out there is an intensive purple zone, which creates a beautiful play of colours!
The fluorite is completely undamaged!
What a fine ettringite! This specimen has bright yellow color. The crystal is well-terminated and is pristine all around! It has great quality and shape! A perfect fit for every collector who is looking for African minerals.
