This totally gemmy gwindel holds some very distinctive features. First of all it’s the dramatic twist that appears almost unnatural for a gwindel of this size. Its nicely detailed and highly lustrous surface even highlights this effect. The next quality that strikes the eye is the long and sharp upper edge of the crystal. The shape of this gwindel is quite unique I have to say. Finally, what distinguishes this piece are some spots of brown and red color, that are delivered by iron oxide and sagenite (rutile) crystals. All in all I have to admit: I love this specimen!

This cluster of tourmaline on quartz and matrix is absolutely fascinating for its intensive color - no, the pink in the picture is not exaggerated - and the sweeping composition. While there is a contact at the backside, all crystals are without damage. With the aesthetics of a castle perched on a mountain cliff, with pristine luster and gemminess and nicely structured terminations as are typical for the locale this is a striking masterpiece of tourmaline on matrix!

This is a large, sparkling landscape of black atacamite, green malachite and lustrous, transparent quartz on a matrix of brown calcite. The fascinating view is totally impressive. If you look closely you can see the malachite to be fully encrusted in quartz that is glassy enough to let the green color escape - a nice effect that is perfected by the stark contrast the atacamite provides. Impressive, pretty and unusual for the remarkable combination.

This is a very characteristic quartz sceptre from the classic locale of Rauris. It offers superb luster, especially at the skeletal termination, good clarity and an overall good condition. There is a small chip at the very tip but due to the highly structured termination this is hardly apparent. With around 6.5 cm the head of this scepter is the dominant part of this specimen and an appealing one in person!
