This is a very characteristic quartz sceptre from the classic locale of Rauris. It offers superb luster, especially at the skeletal termination, good clarity and an overall good condition. There is a small chip at the very tip but due to the highly structured termination this is hardly apparent. With around 6.5 cm the head of this scepter is the dominant part of this specimen and an appealing one in person!
Enargite is a rare species, particularly for the Huanzala Mine which is best known for its superb pyrite specimens and great fluorite. The short prismatic crystals are of metallic grey color with some rust brown coating and minimal weathering. Between the enargite is some pyrite, sparkling golden microcrystals. The overall aesthetics of this rare specimen is just great with no visible damage anywhere!
Quality and aesthetics of this rubellite are absolutely stunning! The crystal shows most vivid raspberry-red color which is especially intensive at the flat termination, where the crystal is gemmy. The body of this specimen is evenly studded with lavender lepidolite and white cleavelandite which is just beautiful on such a vibrant, lustrous and thick crystal. There is virtually no damage here, even the backside is complete and similarly impressive. Highly attracitve specimen of great hand-size and unusually fine developed aesthetics!
Natural yellow quartz is the shiny prince of the quartz family and extremely rare! This massy specimen from the Rauris Valley is an old classic that fortunately found its way to our stock to proceed to your collection. The whole crystal is in best condition with only microscopic edgewear at the tip. Where the lower parts are milky with impurities or internal cracks, the tip is completely glassy and with the subtle color of sweet lemon-cake. The luster is perfect at the termination and mediocre at the prism faces. The bottom is all healed, not freshly broken. A stunning piece for any collection of Alpine rarities!
Searching this piece for the smallest possible flaws with a torchlight got me almost blinded, for the many perfectly mirroring faces of the pyrite. Fortunately I can say this piece is in a superb condition and a formidable sight altogether. The sharp dodecahedral pyrite crystals show just brilliant luster and are accompanied by smaller sphalerite crystals adding some nice accents. A superb piece of exceptional character!
The unusual color combination of this aesthetic fluorite specimen is quite intriguing especially when lit from the back which brings out the intensive purple phantoms that rest inside these honey-yellow fluorite cubes. This is a formation of several stacked cubes of fine translucent quality. The sides are contacted but not broken. The bottom is re-healed. There is one single chip at the larger crystal but which does not distract from the great visual impact of this piece. At the faces of the fluorite you will find tiny metallic grains, presumably chalcopyrite. Remarkable crystal size, appealing composition and stunning colors are combined to this amazing and exceptional piece.
Beautiful purple color and very best aesthetics are combined on this spectacular piece of best Elmwood fluorite! Several intergrown cubical fluorite crystals sit on a small piece of matrix, sparkling with quartz and dolomite. The fluorite strikes with particularly good clearity and stunning purple color, especially strong along the edges. The backside is contacted but fully re-crystallized and shows no damage at all! A wonderful specimen from one of the worlds leading sources for high class fluorite!
It is an absolutely impressive piece from the famous Huanzala Mine with a totally exceptional shape. The massive pyrite is complete all around, free of any damage and shows best golden luster. The body of this surprisingly lively piece is a cluster of octahedral pyrite crystals of unusual growth. While the crystals are sharp and smooth along the edges, all the faces in between are an assembly of countless microfaces and thus show a grainy yet completely flawless and stunningly beautiful structure. Emerging from the top of this cluster grows a bulge of octahedral crystals with fascinating mirroring faces and completely unique appearance. The quality of this whole specimen is just perfect on all sides. I have seen many pyrites coming from the Huanzala Mine but yet nothing alike this mind-blowing specimen!
An elongated prismatic quartz crystal that is completely flawless and of good quality. The crystal is transparent with some internal clouds, it is lustrous on all sides and very sharp. The bottom is contacted yet not broken. A decent crystal from Hohe Tauern national park!
A fantastic combination of a large, water clear skeletal quartz on a snow white adularia matrix. The whole thing is a floater and undamaged all around. I actually find both the front and the back absolutely beautiful, with a different character but matching quality. The frontside shows the skeletal quartz in all its beauty, the backside scores with large and sharp adularia. The quartz is all perfect, intensively skeletallized yet still showing the typical quartz-termination. The adularia is sharp, translucent white and associated with some, but very little chlorite. Best quality meets unbeatable, unique aesthetics!
This is an outstanding piece from a rare wulfenite find in Mežica, Slovenia. The crystals of carrot-orange color are perched on a beautiful piece of limestone that offers a stark contrast. Some of the crystals are prettily covered with a crust of calcite as if covered in snow. Most special about this specimen is the bipyramidal habit of the wulfenite crystals as is extremely rare! We have in fact seen quite some pieces from this find but specimen of such exceptional elegance are few and far between. A fantastic piece, highly attractive and of superb quality!
Sparkling and contrasting, mirroring and sharp, classy and dashy! This combination of jet-black hematite, glassy quartz and some fire-red rutile is just fantastic in person! Like a nest the brilliant, clear quartz crystals are arranged around the mirroring hematite plates. The hematite is up to 2.7 cm in diameter and completely flawless. Tiny red rutile, a little over 2 mm in length, are typical for the locale. A highly attractive piece of best quality that is simply timeless!
