While numerous new pieces of crocoite are availale each year, it is long past that I have seen crystals of such extraordinary size entering the market. These three crystals towering like skyscrapers are exceptionally large and up to 7 mm in diameter! At the bottom and the backside you can see some matrix as well as some accompanying smaller crystals. I call this an outstanding piece for the sheer size of the crystals!

This distinctly 3-dimensional piece is utterly unique! Like a bursting flame this specimen is sparkling all around and in just perfect condition. Every smallest detail on this hematite specimen is just right. I'm not sure if I have ever seen a pseudomorphosis of this impact. All over this piece you can identify the sharp magnetite crystals that have been replaced with hematite. The main part is shaped like a cross when view from the top which gives it a dynamic look. A smaller side-crystal perfects the picture. Beautiful all around, there are no downsides on this piece. For a better view on all sides, please watch the video!

A large, unusual and undamaged crystal of morganite is protruding from a white matrix of bladed cleavelandite, with accenting light green tourmaline. The morganite measures a stunning 5.5 cm in length and 3 cm across the termination. All faces of the morganite are nicely etched and sparkingly reflect the light in all angles. A fantastic piece of unusual crystal habit (not the typical hexagonal morganite) that is as beautiful as it is rare.

A single quartz crystal of nice transparency that lets you see right through to the backside where an irregular crust is covering and intergrown with the quartz which, from the front, looks like a rock face. The quartz is lustrous and sharp and in overall good condition but with a damage at the lower left side. The bottom is re-healed, not freshly broken.

This is a characteristic piece from the unique finds at Serifos Island! The spray of green quartz is perfectly aesthetic and in very good condition. The intensive green color, caused by actinolite inclusions, is easily lit through the translucent crystals. The surface has a nice waxy luster and fine organic structure. Perfect in shape and quality!

PB100 - Augelite with Quartz - Sold

One single augelite crystal sits atop a white quartz matrix that provides a stark contrast to the grass green main crystal. The augelite itself is of excellent quality and flawless. The quartz is milky white, lustrous and shows some hübnerite inclusions that actually make this fine piece even more vivid. The whole composition of this piece is like a perfect cooperation to emphasize the augelite at its center. Its nice to see such brilliant augelite coming from the Mundo Nuevo Mine.

While the individual crystals are rather small (the largest reach a little over 4mm on edge) this whole rock is very nice and crystallized on all sides which invites you to turn it around in your hand. The amber-brown and at some part white crystals cover a metallic black matrix that is visible only at the bottom. There is no damage anywhere so this is a charming piece with no downsides!

TN28 - Rutile with Hematite - Sold
Novo Horizonte, Bahia, Brazil
Size: 8.6 x 5.7 x 3.5 cm

There has been quite a number of these hematite/rutile specimens from Novo Horizonte but most are just bits and pieces without much aesthetics. This specimen however is a rich assembly of several interlocked "straw stars" that's got captivating, almost artful beauty! The radial starbursts of straw yellow rutile needles emerge from central hematite plates which makes for the well known character that's so unique for this locale. The main eye-catcher is a cluster of around 4.5 cm that's very symmetric and well shaped. Attractive in person and in surprisingly well condition!

SS13 - Quartz Gwindel - Sold
Druntobel, Sedrun, Tujetsch, Vorderrhein Valley, Grischun, Switzerland
Size: 5.6 x 3.3 x 1.4 cm

If you are as much into gwindels as we are, then you know how difficult it is to find thin specimens with a distinct twist. However, we'd like to show you this striking piece so go on and have a look on our video where this twist of around 55-60° is much better discernible. The whole gwindel is in good condition with no considerable damage and a recrystallized bottom. Indeed a wonderful piece in person and especially hard to come by!

A nicely 3-dimensional piece of limonite matrix with vividly orange crocoite needles all over it. The piece has been held in a closed box which prevented the fragile crystals from damage and kept the whole thing in good condition. A characteristic and appealing Adelaide Mine piece!
