This single absolutely brilliant crystal of azurite with sharp edges and a tremendous blue color is a true marvel that sits on a matrix that wonderfully emphasizes its beauty. With fabulous luster and a spectacular surface structure the azurite is simply breathtaking. Perched on a brown matrix with green malachite, it is a perfect thumbnail of exceptional beauty! For sure one of the best pieces of comparable size we have ever layed hands on.
This inconspicuous little piece is actually quite a monster, considering the utter rareness of this mineral. With 5mm on edge, this perfect crystal on matrix is absolutely stunning and fantastically aesthetic! The crystal itself is sharp, lustrous and nicely striated. For a better look, please watch the video which reveals more of the pristine beauty of this specimen. If you are searching for rare minerals, this is definitely the chance!
This cluster of tourmaline on quartz and matrix is absolutely fascinating for its intensive color - no, the pink in the picture is not exaggerated - and the sweeping composition. While there is a contact at the backside, all crystals are without damage. With the aesthetics of a castle perched on a mountain cliff, with pristine luster and gemminess and nicely structured terminations as are typical for the locale this is a striking masterpiece of tourmaline on matrix!
This is a large, sparkling landscape of black atacamite, green malachite and lustrous, transparent quartz on a matrix of brown calcite. The fascinating view is totally impressive. If you look closely you can see the malachite to be fully encrusted in quartz that is glassy enough to let the green color escape - a nice effect that is perfected by the stark contrast the atacamite provides. Impressive, pretty and unusual for the remarkable combination.
Brigth golden color and brilliant luster immediately attract attention and lead the eye further to the outstanding, branching shape of this classic Eagle's nest gold specimen! At closer view one discovers the fine structure featuring a variety of patterns and crystallizations. The sweeping shape is intergrown with small white calcite patches as is typical for the locale. Absolutely stunning in person for the unique, highly appealing shape and the superb quality!
A glassy foater specimen of etched fluorite from Italy. The surface is frosted but smooth enough to let you see inside the clear crystal. It is free of any damage and shows a greenish tinge. Very appealing in person!
This is a very characteristic quartz sceptre from the classic locale of Rauris. It offers superb luster, especially at the skeletal termination, good clarity and an overall good condition. There is a small chip at the very tip but due to the highly structured termination this is hardly apparent. With around 6.5 cm the head of this scepter is the dominant part of this specimen and an appealing one in person!
It's basically two glassy quartz crystals that protrude in opposite directions. The base of those two main crystals is a cluster of smaller quartz but which are crystallized all around so that this is even a floater specimen. Very nice in person, undamaged and from an uncommon locale in South Tyrol!
A glassy, tabular adularia specimen of distinguishing shape. Through the whole crystal runs a white faden, as found in certain Alpine quartz specimens. The adularia is in perfect condition and shows mirroring luster.
Not very spectacular at first sight but a rare combination that is practically exclusive for Tsumeb. At closer view you find brown copper branches on a matrix of brownish-yellow tsumcorite and similarly colored wulfenite. A nice and extremely rare specimen from the type locality of tsumcorite.
This is a characteristic piece from Serifos Island in very best condition! All crystals are just perfect with only one contact at the base. The intensive green color, caused by actinolite inclusions, is easily lit through the translucent crystals. The surface has a nice waxy luster and fine organic structure. Perfect in shape and quality!
