An association of shiny white adularia and metallic black hematite roses up to 1 cm in diameter. The white to even transparent adularia shows very best luster and provides a perfect contrasting background for the hematite! The hematite on the other hand is richly covering the adularia almost on every side like a parasite – but a beautiful and sparkling parasite it is! The iron roses are very well developed with distinctive, somewhat bulky rosettes! The whole thing is without damage, only the bottom is contacted. A marvelous specimen of highly unusual architecture as you can very well see in our video!
This is basically a single smoky quartz crystal but its incredibly high quality really makes it something special! The prismatic crystal is glass from top to bottom and shows very best wet-look luster all around! The termination is a sharply cut pyramid with a narrow chisel-tip. At the crystals base is a small smoky quartz side-crystal as well as some white adularia which adds much to the overall aesthetics of the specimen! A straight and classic specimen of rarely seen quality!
A lovely group of electric blue azurite in combination with some green malachite on a piece of grey matrix. The azurite shows brilliant quality and comes as a cluster of sharp and well developed crystals. The overall condition is well but with one crystal being slightly chipped at the termination which reduces the price on this otherwise excellent piece!
This specimen from the summit cleft ("Gipfelkluft") is a nice combination of dark purple fluorite cubes on a white quartz matrix. The interlocked cubes are sharply edged, slightly frosted and contain the most intensive purple color you could wish for! The surrounding quartz comes as needles in white and grey which provides the perfect background for the fluorite. An overall very attractive specimen with all flawless fluorite cubes!
An especially lovely piece of epidote from the famous Knappenwand that is absolutely flawless despite its incredibly fragile structure of thin, glassy crystals. Direct illumination reveals the typical green and brown color. All crystals are of perfect quality: lustrous, gemmy and with sharp terminations. This piece is a floater and a really excellent one indeed! The video shows more of the brilliant quality and the almost magical composition.
As you can see in the pictures, this marvelous quartz crystal shows stunning surface structure with just brilliant luster on all sides! This dramatic crystal is set on a beautifully supporting matrix of silvery schist, white feldspar and glistening muscovite on the backside. Appealing aesthetics and high crystal quality make this an outstanding specimen of intense showcase presence!
Brilliant and totally transparent quartz with flawless pyramidal termination in combination with smaller evenly perfect side-crystals. The aesthetics of this specimen is absolutely textbook and with no downsides. Even the bottom is crystallized, partly covered in some residual rock matrix.
Wulfenite from M'Fouati has never come onto the market in large quantities but what has been found in the late 50s and early 60s counts among the finest wulfenites of the whole continent.
This is a superb wulfenite from that period that impresses with great orange color and sheer size - it is 27mm across!
Tiny, appealingly sparkling Quartz crystals cover a large part of the crystal but where the wulfenite is free it is highly lustrous! The crystal is complete all around with no contacts or damages at all.
The red-brown gossan matrix is covered in sparkling quartz too and provides a superb contrast and background for the dominant yellow-butterscotch crystal!
It's a rarity of striking aesthetics and outstanding dimension and a mayor piece for the locality!
If you can appreciate the untamed beauty of irregularly grown natural crystal specimens then I invite you to have a look on our video! Yes, it is crystallized all around and the purple color is strong, especially towards the termination. The whole specimen is pure quartz, mostly transparent through and through. Grown into the side there is a rough and opaque part with small amethyst sceptres atop. When looking closely you will also find tiny iron roses which is characteristic for the locale. The overall condition is very good with only very small issues that are even hard to see on a rich and absorbing piece like this!
Wow, this is something I haven't seen before!
A stocky aquamarine, 1.9 cm long and up to 2.3 cm in diameter, is balanced right atop a single tourmaline crystal. The tourmaline itself is very characteristic for the locale. A dark, almost black crystal with a nice green cap and some intergrown albite at the side. The doubly terminated flawless aquamarine is set at a 30° angle right at the tourmaline's top which makes for this absolutely unique and stunning aesthetics! The crystal is translucent with very nice blue color, just like in the pictures.
Several single isolated spheres of vivid yellow brucite are set on a rock matrix with a thin hydromagnesite layer that provides an elegant silvery background. The individual spheres show a diameter of up to 1.6 cm. Unlike many pale and unattractive brucite specimens we have seen on the market these crystals shine with the most vivid lemon-yellow color, strikingly emphasized on the smooth hydromagnesite matrix. Condition, crystal quality and overall aesthetics are absolutely amazing on this fine brucite specimen!
It's a flawless high quality quartz from the Zillertal that amazes with spectacular brilliance and textbook aesthetics. Both crystals are water-clear, sharp and with splendid luster on all sides. The surface shows some nice structures with some intergrown mica here and there. The main crystal is 3.7 cm thick and accompanied by a second quartz that's 2.1 cm thick. Very nice arrangement and outstanding condition. Even the bottom is fully recrystallized and not broken.
