This silver is quite 3-dimensional and beautiful all around. You can nicely see the crystallization, grown on a grey matrix with white calcite. The attractive specimen looks very much alive, especially for its shiny copper-colored patina. A piece of rich details and beautiful composition.
Both sides of this unusual, tabular quartz crystal are just incredibly lustrous. Shaped like a butterfly, this specimen is utterly limpid, of unique shape and shows a beautifully sparkling surface. If searching for it, you find a smaller damaged zone at the side pointing to the back, but which is not visible from the front. Aside of that, this piece is in outstanding condition and of marvelous quality. Stunning, pretty and unusual alike!
An array of tabular hematite around one centimeter in diameter is embedded in a silvery muscovite matrix. This is a high quality miniature of classic character and in near perfect condition. The hematite is highly lustrous and sharp. Very attractive in person!
The two vertical main crystals on this quartz specimen are accompanied by a third crystal, horizontally lying by their side. The bright shiny quality of the crystals paired with the unusual composition and flawless condition make this floater a unique specimen from Rauris. Some yellow iron oxide is characteristic for the locale and adds a beautiful effect. Distinctly 3-dimensional and attractive on all sides!
One large, 2.1 cm sphalerite of great red-orange color sits on a sparkling quartz matrix like on a floating ship. The crystal is unusually grown with a striking, organically appearing termination. The matrix is shaped like a shard that is overgrown with small quartz crystals on all sides. The equally beautiful backside hosts a second, 1.1 cm sphalerite of matching quality. This is a brilliant, flawless specimen of utter aesthetics!
The quality of this specimen is much better in person, as it is much more glassy. Sadly this is hard to show on the photos, as there is some interesting structure on the surface of the crystal. Nevertheless, this is a beautiful specimen of fluorite with some very nice crystals of quartz. The fluorite makes a very good contrast to the brownish matrix, this looks very nice in person.
This dominant single quartz crystal shows brilliant quality, is sharp and flawless. The bottom is completely crystallized making this a perfect floater. The quartz body is transparent with some "clouds" but no internal cracks. The surface shows beautiful striation, causing sparkling reflections at direct illumination. The very tip of this large crystal is contacted but - as you can very well see at closer inspection - not damaged. A great and dramatic quartz crystal of high quality!
A very fine and unusual paragenesis from Inner Mongolia! Two transparent dodecahedral fluorite crystal, perfect all around and glassy, are acting as a base for a delicate structure of elongated, scaly quartz, some more fluorite and iron-black ilvaite. The perfectly crystallized backside also holds some white feldspar. The whole thing is in pristine condition and a floater. The piece has perfect hand-size, a stunning and unique specimen of exceptional aesthetics and highest quality!
Typical for the cavrein valley and still unusual. The crystals of this piece are nicely grown on a matrix of greenish byssolite and are free of damage. On the left side of the specimen you see a zone of interaction between quartz and calcite, which is indeed typical for this locale. While the calcite is dissolved, the quartz remains and offers an insight in its pattern of growth. A fascinating piece for the locale.
A massive specimen of mindblowing quality and aesthetics! The many smoky quartz crystals show the very dark, red-brown color that is characteristic for Val Giuv specimens. All crystals are clear, lustrous and in great condition. Between thos amazing smoky quartz there is snow-white adularia present, nicely structured, filigree and of high translucent to transparent quality. The contrast between dark quartz and white adularia is truly staggering - and extremely hard to photograph! Aside some peripheral dings there is no considerable damage on this fantastically aesthetic specimen. A real eye-catcher in person!
This smoky quartz specimen is a lovely cluster of clear and lustrous crystals of intensive color. It is in very good condition all around with only some contacts or small peripheral damage. All main crystals are flawless and crystallized even at the beautiful underside that is richly speckled with adularia. The roughly U-shaped piece impresses at closer view and embodies a characteristic Val-Giuv smoky quartz specimen.
This is a sparkling and glossy cluster of prehnite, crystallized very well. The crystals are pretty gemmy and have a bright ivory color.
