The "rabbit-ears-quartz", as we call it, is a piece of extraordinary aesthetics. Two equally beautiful crystals of great luster and clarity poke out of a perfectly sized piece of grey matrix. The bottom of the crystals show pyramidal faces and are partially covered in chlorite. At close sight you find very small wear at the tip, which is not apparent, when standing on the shelf. A remarkable piece of dominant size and character!
Another quite remarkable quartz from the cavradi gorge. While the high quality of the quartz, with superb luster and clarity is typical for the locale, this special combination with faden-quartz and quartz of unusual crystal habit has a unique look. The whole piece is in very good condition with an absolutely perfect, gemmy main crystal. A sublime piece for the collector of exceptional mineral specimens.
One picture is not nearly enough to cover all the beautiful aspects of this remarkable specimen - grab the opportunity and watch the video! A fantastic tourmaline of brilliant luster and striking color brotherly leans on the shoulders of this massive smoky quartz. This piece is a floater whose bottom is covered in a white coating. The tourmaline is in finest condition. All aspects of the unusual shape are naturally grown and perfectly terminated. I thought this should be more than enough for a remarkable piece wroth of attention, but this piece has even more treasures to reveal inside the smoky quartz. The presence of acicular and golden colored crystals of the rare carbonate bismutite, and metallic crystals of the rare sulfide of bismutinite adds much to the beauty of this piece. A beautiful piece of unique character!
Tourmaline from Stak Nala rank among world-wide mineral classics for their exceptionally good quality and aesthetical combinations with white albite and quartz. This stunning specimen strikes with a unusual composition. Like rockets on a launching platform the dark green tourmaline crystals slantingly lie on a base of large white albite crystals. The tourmaline is brilliantly lustrous on all sides with flawless flat pyramidal terminations. The color is mostly a very dark green with translucent fresh green zones at the terminations, and stands in stark contrast to the shiny white albite. A real stunner of exceptional aesthetics even for famous Stak Nala!
I love the dramatic contrast of white quartz matrix and firing purple fluorite! The fluorite itself is all etched and shines from the inside, which is a mixture of dark purple, bright pink and some colorless spots. This whole piece is in excellent condition, highly aesthetic and of great visual impact!
A tabular hematite specimen with lustrous triangular surface structre on both sides. It is a complete floater with rust-brown edges on all sides and very few issues all around. Very aesthetic and unusual specimen of pure massive hematite.
Searching this piece for the smallest possible flaws with a torchlight got me almost blinded, for the many perfectly mirroring faces of the pyrite. Fortunately I can say this piece is in a superb condition and a formidable sight altogether. The sharp dodecahedral pyrite crystals show just brilliant luster and are accompanied by smaller sphalerite crystals adding some nice accents. A superb piece of exceptional character!
A rich floater specimen from the classic locale of Broken Hill in Australia. Especially the frontside of this dark brown limonitric matrix is completely covered in night-blue azurite that shows very good gemminess at direct illumination. The crystals are up to around one centimeter long with frosted surfaces and somewhat rounded edges. Aside of some peripheral issues there is no damage, the main view is completely unharmed. An old-time classic of appealing look!
Spheroidal azurite of exceptionally vivid blue color in combination with bright green malachite pseudomorph after azurite, some colorless quartz, orange-brown limonite and iron oxide which adds even more color to this rich specimen. The sweeping growth reminds of a coral, very 3-dimensional and captivating. This whole piece is exceptionally lively with strong colors and contrast and is in very good condition. A great appealing piece, characteristic for the locale.
These dodecahedral pyrite crystals have grown on a massive sphalerite matrix. The aesthetics of pyrite, sphalerite and calcite are combining to an astonishing sight on this specimen. The balance here is exceptional as black, gold and white are forming a harmonic union. Some of the side crystals show tiny chips but fortunately the larger main crystals are virtually perfect and of brilliant quality. An extraordinary piece of great combination!
This is one of the most outstanding Alpine smoky quartz specimens I have seen in recent times. The 2.6 cm thick and around 7 cm long main crystal as well as most of its companions are perfectly clear and free of internal cracks. The crystals are right-handed and brilliantly lustrous. The color is a perfect dark smoky one that's yet still far from being too dim. All these fantastic and flawless quartz crystals are perched on a stunning grey and white matrix that is exceptionally beautiful. All natural, not broken, cut or trimmed. A 3-dimensional landscape of caverns, vugs and cliffs that adds a lot to the overall beauty of this specimen. An staggering piece in person!
Free of any damage, this cluster of pink fluorite is perched on a distinctly 3-dimensional matrix. I love the overall aesthetics of this piece as the matrix provides a nice contrast to the fluorite crystals and emphasizes their appealing charm. The crystals are complex and modified offering a deatailed landscape. A typical yet very much remarkable piece of pink fluorite from Zinggenstock!
