This is one of the most outstanding Alpine smoky quartz specimens I have seen in recent times. The 2.6 cm thick and around 7 cm long main crystal as well as most of its companions are perfectly clear and free of internal cracks. The crystals are right-handed and brilliantly lustrous. The color is a perfect dark smoky one that's yet still far from being too dim. All these fantastic and flawless quartz crystals are perched on a stunning grey and white matrix that is exceptionally beautiful. All natural, not broken, cut or trimmed. A 3-dimensional landscape of caverns, vugs and cliffs that adds a lot to the overall beauty of this specimen. An staggering piece in person!

Free of any damage, this cluster of pink fluorite is perched on a distinctly 3-dimensional matrix. I love the overall aesthetics of this piece as the matrix provides a nice contrast to the fluorite crystals and emphasizes their appealing charm. The crystals are complex and modified offering a deatailed landscape. A typical yet very much remarkable piece of pink fluorite from Zinggenstock!

Incredible luster! That's what immediately catches the eye and keeps it prisoner. In a way not even the video shows the full extent of this mesmerizing shimmering effect that very much improves the closer you look. The whole piece is in overall exceptional condition with some insignificant contacts at the side and back, but it has one tiny chip at the tip that is but poorly visible. This is an outstanding piece that offers just spectacular luster as is totally unique on Alpine fluorite specimens!

A large and especially well balanced piece of high quality quartz on matrix. All the larger crystals contain faint but lovely phantoms in otherwise perfectly glassy-clear crystal bodies. Especially the terminations are brilliantly lustrous with a sometimes scale-like surface. All in all there is no significant damage here, just some minor edgewear or contacts at the backside. Even the bottom is not broken but in fact this whole piece is a floater. The rust-brown matrix and some iron oxide coating add some lovely color to an already great piece from Nanga Parbat, one of the worlds highest mountains.

A very massy single quartz crystal of striking luster and a distinct Alpine characteristic. It is translucent to transparent, especially the lower body is very clear. The shiny surface shows many details, stepped growth, striation and corrugated faces. The bottom of this quartz is mainly rehealed and holds some matrix fragment, a piece of pericline with iron oxide coating. Overall this is a remarkable piece in person that impresses with high quality and massive size alike!

Beautiful purple color and very best aesthetics are combined on this spectacular piece of best Elmwood fluorite! Several intergrown cubical fluorite crystals sit on a small piece of matrix, sparkling with quartz and dolomite. The fluorite strikes with particularly good clearity and stunning purple color, especially strong along the edges. The backside is contacted but fully re-crystallized and shows no damage at all! A wonderful specimen from one of the worlds leading sources for high class fluorite!

Very old and extremely rare, this is a just lovely combination of mossy green epidote jewelled with colorless apatite which again shows green byssolite inclustions. This is for sure one of the sweetest specimen of this kind to be found in the famous Knappenwand region, more than a hundred years ago! The piece is perfect all around with only contacts at the sides but no damage. Extremely aesthetic, fantastically rare and of high quality, this piece is a real marvel!

This rather large specimen features fluorites up to 4.3 cm on edge with a lovely lavender color and great transparency! There are some contacts and even some obvious breaks, no way of denying that. However, the dramatic size and nice quality of the crystals definitely makes up for some of those downsides.

A dominant 20 cm quartz crystal of straight upright shape! The termination as well as the backside have some chlorite but the front faces are clear and grant a view through the glassy crystal. Attached to the side there is a flattened crystal which look rather odd and adds a unique touch to this otherwise classic specimen. The whole thing is in marvelous condition and even the bottom is completely crystallized!

Large bloks of pericline are 3-dimensionally arranged to form this impressive specimen. The single crystals are up to around 4 cm long and 1.3 cm thick and very well developed. The whole specimen is covered in silvery green chlorite but which leaves space for some white pericline to surface. Very nice and characteristic for the Austrian Alps! The piece was found on a collecting trip in 2003 by Heinz Kirchtag, Andreas Steiner, my father Anton Watzl sen. and myself, Rudolf Watzl.

It's hard to describe this specimen as it is much to 3-dimensional and complex for a picture. On our video you can see that this is a very massive cluster of well shaped, lustrous and transparent quartz that is heavily stacked to form this almost ball-like shape! What I like is the rich surface structure that makes this piece special. The condition is generally good with only some minor issues. A very particular specimen that might not be for everyone but is definitely rewarding and impressive in person!

The upper half of this stocky quartz crystal is brilliantly transparent, an effect that is even enhanced by the lustrous and lovely structured surface. The sharp termination is all flawless as is the rest of this fine crystal. The bottom is all healed and re-crystallized, leaving no fresh break visible. Around the base the crystal is obscured by internal cracks rendering it white. Definitely an impressive piece for a single crystal specimen!
