Fibbia is by far Switzerlands most significant source of hematite in the iron rose aggregate habit! This is a superb example for the high quality and aesthetics this locale is capable of! The single isolated iron rose is exceptionally sharp and displays absolutely best metallic luster! It is completely flawless and set on a likewise undamaged piece of matrix. The rock-matrix is covered in sparkling adularia which is impressively beautifull all over! Aesthetics and crystal quality are pushed to the highest quality on this fabulous Alpine specimen!
Frunthorn is well known for great fluorite specimens but this one has the very rare color that is not pink but actually RED! The octahedral crystals are flower-like attached atop a piece of matrix, associated with some smoky quartz. Miraculously this fluorite is all perfect and really gemmy at the inside. The surface is frosted in some parts but shows perfect wet-look luster in other parts! This wonderful specimen of exceptionally rare quality and color is for sure one of the finest from this famous locale!
A brilliant jewel from the Haramosh Mountains! It is a rich paragenesis of titanite, ilmenite, adularia and quartz on matrix that displays just brilliant quality! At first glance you immediately see the striking green, doubly terminated titanite that horizontally lies across the beautiful white feldspar matrix. The crystal is doubly terminated, sharp, lustrous and of bright color! It has got a contact on the right termination but apart from that it is perfect! The titanite is held up by white rhombic adularia crystals. Right on its side stands a single water-clear quartz crystal of uttermost perfection. Inside this crystal you can see tabular black ilmenite which makes for a beautiful visual effect! Overall the aesthetics of this specimen is overwhelming and very much distinctive!
The reason for the low price here are some broken crystals which is undeniable. But if you can live with some imperfection this is a piece that offers fluorites of superb quality and beauty! The largest crystal has 2.3 cm on edge, is totally gemmy and in best condition. Absolutely amazing quality and color!
This is a fine doubly terminated glassy quartz with association of smaller quartz, calcite and feldspar on a rock matrix. The specimen is in very best condition all around with superb interlocked quartz on a matrix that is crystallized with feldspar micro-crystals on all sides.
This small quartz floater is a real jewel in respect of quality and shape. Nice glassy quartz with brilliant luster reflects the light on a multitude of crystal faces. The condition is virtually flawless. Even at close examination you will marvel over the multitude of perfectly crystallized details! Very attractive in person!
This large 8 cm gwindel is from the one time historic find by Josef Kolb in july 1977 which yielded a small number of superb gwindel specimens. While quartz from the Rauris valley is well known and relatively common, the gwindel habit is extremely rare and almost impossible to come by!
As is characteristic for the find this specimen has chloritized tips but a lustrous and clear front and backside through which you can look right through the glassy crystal body. With great condition, dramatic elongated habit and a distinct twist this gwindel specimen is a stunning specimen from a very well known and documented historic find!
Very nice sceptre from the Mörchnerkar that shows the characteristic surface structure at the prism faces and very good quality overall! The oversized head is set on a small colorless stem with some mica at the touching point. The purpe color is especially strong at the termination but extends down around half the crystal length. Condition is flawless altogether!
The single most interesting crystal on this paragenesis is set at the very top: A brilliant golden colored 1.3 cm titanite twin crystal of gemmy quality and in fantastic condition! It is emphasized by the beautiful matrix, covered in white pericline and grey calcite with some smaller titanites in between. A look on our video reveals the superb quality much better!
It is a large natural landscape-type of specimen that strikes with very strong contrast and a lovely composition. Yellow shining quartz is perched on a matrix that is covered in brown siderite, creme colore pericline and some snow white quartz microcrystals. The largest quartz that stands out on the top is 5 cm long, glassy, sharp and undamaged. All over the condition is very good although not quite perfect. Some broken smaller crystals are visible though not quite significant on a large and natural piece like this.
Color, shape and the radiating quality immediately draws one towards this piece like the calming flickering flames of a bonfire! This rhodo has the intensive fire red color that you would desire in a specimen of this beautiful mineral. The individual crystals reach a length of up to 3 cm, they are glassy and in very good condition with only minimal cleavages and contacts. It’s a compact piece of gorgeous aesthetics and fantastic crystal quality!
The way this quartz has developed is amazing and totally unique. As you can see in our video this is only a thin shard, fully transparent and highly lustrous on both sides. One side is shaped like a flat bowl, showing an inward curve constructed from countless shiny crystal faces. The other side is different, it has two flat faces that are arranged at a distinctive 40° angle. But regardless of the apparently complex history of this specimen (did it originally split off a larger crystal?) this is an unusuall and very attractive specimen in near flawless condition and of best quality!
