The phantom you can see inside this incredibly clear and sharp quartz crystal is unusually attractive. A layered grey structure is prominently visible, distinctive and yet like a soft and cozy cloud. The main crystal is supported by several side crystal, all of which adds up to a highly aesthetic group. The overall condition is fantastic. The main crystal has a small chip on the back but the main pointed termination is flawless. A lovely specimen indeed!
This is a rare, at least 50 years old cerussite from Sardinia that is still in excellent condition! It has a total size of 12.3 cm with individual sprays of cream colored cerussite up to 3.7 cm. The stark contrast of pale cerussite on the dark, almost black matrix nicely emphasizes the cerusste. Also the backside is completely natural and vividly crystallized. As the included old label states, the matrix is presumably psilomelane, a compound of different manganese oxides. A splendid specimen for the collector of historic rarities.
Smothsonite certainly count among the major mineral species for which Tsumeb is famous and has produced some of the best specimens worldwide. This small piece of rock matrix is studded with pink smithsonite rhombohedrons, the largest of which are just under a centimeter in diameter. The combination of those smithsonites on the sparkling matrix is really just gorgeous and there is no damage to be seen. An adorable specimen for sure!
Strontianite from Oberdorf an der Laming are arguably the finest this species has to offer. This specimen features the rare pseudohexagonal cyclic-twinned crystal type which is most desirable for this material. Several of these crystals are gouped together and set on a pristine white calcite matrix. The strontianite cluster has a total diameter of 2.1 cm, individual crystals reach 1.2 cm. A stunning piece for the collector of rare crystal shapes.
Stunning! This is an exceptional gwindel from the French Alps. It is a floater all around and has zero damage what is extremely rare! There is a very nice coating of chlorite on it, what makes this specimen looking even better. A perfect fit for the advanced collector of high demands!
WOW, what a stunning group of two gwindels and one regular smoky quartz forming this great specimen. I have never seen such a combination in the past. This specimen comes from the recent find made this summer in Val Giuv and it is one of the best specimens from this pocket. The bottom side of this group is completely rehealed, while many of the other specimens are heavily damaged at the base. The crystals are translucent and show the typical bright smoky color which is well known for this locale. It is very lustrous with sharp edges and it is very 3-dimensional in person. The amazing aesthetics of this specimen in combination with the beautiful quality makes this group really extraordinary. A gorup like this is much more rare then a sinlge gwindel, what makes it to a big challenge to get one like this. Comes mounted on a custom base for display.
This is an awesome calcite, with the very best quality. It shows colors like a rainbow inside, is very gemmy and has a beautiful luster. It is perfect all around and the termination is full of small and delicate stripes. It is grown on matrix, while most of it is not visible from the front. This piece is very special in person and one of the very best specimens which I have seen from that locale!
This group has a really awesome composition of many crystals, which are grown together perfectly, giving it an exceptional good aesthetics. It is free of damage with a great luster and clarity.
The combintaion of very lustrous hematite sitting on white adularia is highly appreciated by many collectors. This is a beautiful piece, with an extremely fine quality and great aesthetics. Very lovely in person!
The size and quality of this topaz is really remarkable. I have rarely seen crystals of that size in such a good quality.
When it comes to Alpine emerald, the location of Habachtal is on everyone’s lips. Still, there have not been much high-quality specimens found in the last years. This specimen is one of the older pieces, offering great color and clarity on two emerald crystals, the bigger of which is 1.1 cm long. The typical silvery sparkling matrix perfects the picture of this very nice specimen.
This beautiful quartz holds a terrific phantom inside its glassy body. The fantastic thing about it is that you can view the chlorite phantom literally from all sides as the quartz has no crack and no cloudy regions. Accompanied by a smaller quartz at the side, this crystal impresses with many details and a nice combination of colors at surface and innards. The crystal has one chip at the tip, but is cheaper therefore and still a real jewel!
