It's a brilliant, flawless and just amazingly beautiful quartz from Val Bedretto! It's a highly attractive pyrite specimen from the Ankogel group. The pyrite aggregate is set on a towering matrix which is a mix of white feldspar and silvery chlorite. The piece has no damage and is beautiful all around as you can see on our pictures!
Perfectly clear and highly lustrous quartz with fascinating surface structure and in very best condition! While the crystal is largely broken at the bottom (but with some rehealed areas as well) the rest of it is flawless without even the slightest abrasions! Iron oxide residues at the bottom face show that cracks have been present long before the crystal was retrieved from the pocket. That iron oxide also lends a nice golden color to the otherwiese water-clear crystals! Absolutely beautiful in person!
This is a perfect and flawless thumbnail specimen of very fine leaf green titanite. A 2.5 cm main crystal is accompanied by two side-crystals, both around 1.5 cm long. There is some intergrown chlorite which adds Alpine character without being too obtrusive. A lovely specimen in best condition and with highly appealing aesthetics!
High quality smoky quartz crystals on a contrasting white feldspar rich matrix that is characteristic for the locale! The two larger main crystals are developed as transparent and flawless left-handed prismatic crystals with sharp pointed terminations. They are surrounded by smaller crystals of equally high quality. Around the periphery there are some contacts and smaller breaks but apart from that this specimen is a brilliant one in very fine condition! Especially the exceptional crystal quality and warm brown color really stand out!
This 26 cm quartz crystal is a complete floater and absolutely flawless!
It shows superb luster and very good clarity through and through! The termination is somewhat rounded but not damaged or even abrased. While the frontside is all smooth and lustrous with fine striations, the backside is encrusted with quartz, feldspar and some iron oxide. All in all this is a stunning piece of dramatic magnitude!
Sharp metallic iron roses are set on a charming combination of glassy adularia and silvery mica. All crystals are in best condition so that nothing disturbs the appealing landscape you can see here. A wonderful little paragenesis!
The rocket-like shape of this color-intensive amethyst specimen is totally striking, especially due to it's remarkable 12.2 cm size! The crystal architecture is amazing, a structure of interlocked crystals with attractive etch patterns, the so called "Fenster" (windows).
The backside is a completely different picture. It is rough and has some feldspar, mica and even small iron roses grown on it. But despite this rough look the backside is all crystallized as well. The beautiful main view shows strong purple color, elegant structures and a nice frosted surface!
This is a perfect jewel of highest quality!
A floater of water-clear interlocked quartz crystals with wet look luster all over the countless crystal faces! The curved shape you see in the pictures is due to a complex architecture of many larger and smaller crystals, some of them with a lovely Herkimer diamond appearance. Absolutely brilliant, lovely and in flawless condition!
It's a small but lovely specimen of snow white pericline on a chloritized rock matrix. All main crystals are intact and there are only some very minor issues along the periphery.
Those two quartz cystals, set on an beautiful rock matrix with small side-crystals, are of stunning quality and completely undamaged! The quartz is highly lustrous and water-clear with a very slight smoky tinge that is characteristic for this uncommon locale. There are no internal cracks or clouds or any kind of impureness. A piece of amazing quality and gorgeous aesthetics! Our video shows how those crystals catch and reflect the warm light in movement!
