This brilliant quartz crystal has rich rutile inclusions that sparkle in direct downlight! The quartz itself is transparent and highly lustrous on all sides. The complex shape of two intergrown crystals deliveres a multitude of bright crystal faces with some microcrystals of ankerite, clinochlore and rutile in between. The crystal is undamaged and shining with natural beauty!
A lovely group of green titanite on a natural piece of rock matrix. The larger main crystal has a size of 1.7 cm and is, like the other crystals too, undamaged. All crystals are transparent, with a frosted surface and nice apple green color.
Luster and clarity of this quartz are quite spectacular and perfectly transport the green sheen that emanates from the actinolithe inclusions near the bottom of the crystal. The only small downside are minor abrasions on the tip and some edges but nothing so bad. Even the bottom is mostly crystallized. A highly attractive specimen if you can live with small imperfections.
This is a classic from Weißeck area! A large cluster of intensively blue fluorite, encompassed by white scalenohedral calcite. The specimen is generally a floater, contacted only on the right side. The fluorite is in surprisingly well condition with no damage anywhere in sight!
Its color is unusually intense and visible throughout all the rich multitude of transparent cubes. This kind of blue (known among collectors as "duck-blue" or "entenblau") is extremely hard to find with this specimen arguably being the best ever found!
A rarity of elegance and appeal that adds color to any alpine mineral collection!
The fluorite comes with a historic label of the "Institut für Mineralogie und Petrographie die Universität Salzburg" from the year 1970.
Black schorl is vertically grown atop a piece of rock matrix which creates this absolutely lovely construct. The schorl microcrystals are chaotically arranged along an upright spine like spikes on a piece of barbed wire. If you lay direct light to this structure you can see that the black crystals offer some gemmy red color. Very nice little specimen and in great condition!
A rare exemplar of faden-quartz from the Cavradi of excellent quality!
The piece is a complete floater and undamaged. Transparent high quality quartz shot through by a white "thread".
Due to the bright luster of the quartz you can easily grasp the complex crystal architecture. Near the base you can see some residual matrix as well as hematite inclusions. Apart from that this is all just perfectly crystallized quartz!
Transparency and luster of this stunning smoky quartz are absolutely phenomenal! When you turn this piece around in your hand you will unleash a spectacle of warm brown color and bright reflecting light! All crystals are completely undamaged. There are some contacts on the backside but no abrasions or the like. An outstanding smoky quartz specimen of uttermost beauty!
A very vibrant and natural composition of pericline and quartz in superb condition! Colorless transparent and lustrousquartz crystals are wildly arranged between porcelain colored pericline. At closer inspection you will even find some rutile needles in between which is a nice and rare feature! One quartz at the bottom right is broken but which is hardly discernible. The rest is just wonderful in it's highly attractive, unharmed and natural landscape aesthetics!
One tabular, mirror-like hematite of irregular shape is set on a small shard of naturally grown matrix. The heamtite has some small fire-red rutile crystal on it which is characteristic only for the Cavradi gorge. It is sharp, highly lustrous and all around flawless. Only some very small and thin side-crystals at the base are damaged but the main crystal is in perfect shape!
Most special about this single crystal quartz is certainly the unusual "bend" it shows at the lower part. Apparently the crystal broke during growth and later on reconnected which gave it that impossible shape. The quartz has brilliant quality all over. Great transparency and luster and a flawless termination. If you like unusual crystals, this one might be just the one for you!
Yes, those quartz crystals are utterly amazing, with striking clarity and luster and a lovely orange iron oxide sheen. But what I like most about this specimen is the unusual overall aesthetics. A natural shard of rock matrix is covered in quartz micro-crystals as well as a single white adularia that adds much more to the aesthetics than it's size would indicate. Even the backside is completely crystallized and natural. A true piece of natural art!
One complete and flawless fluorite octahedron is beautifully presented on a characteristic piece of Zinggenstock-matrix. The fluorite is pink and translucent to even transparent and it is very well defined. It has sharp edges while the crystal faces themselves are etched. A beautiful and aesthetic single crystal specimen from this classic locale!
