Like a waterdrop, splashing on solid rock, frozen in time. This hyalite is absolutely water-clear, highly lustrous and simply beautiful. It is perched on a piece of matrix of just the right proportion and good contrast. The opal is complete all around and without any damage. An incredibly aesthetic example for the recent Opal finds near the town of Tarcal in Hungary. Unusual, dashy and lovely in person!
Exceptionally aesthetic and well balanced this Peruvian paragenesis is absolutely outstanding with appealing contrast, color and outline. The lustrous golden surface of the rather large cubical pyrite, up to over 4 cm on edge, is partly covered in black sphalerite which makes for a charming visual effect. The pyrite is accompanied by rounded chalcopyrite, shimmering in a greenish yellow color that adds much to the overall aesthetics of this piece. Small white calcite perfects the picture. The backside is contacted but there is no considerable damage here. A brilliant combination piece that knows to impress!
A single large cerussite ball, 3.4 cm in diameter, is perched on a black decomposing galena matrix. The cerussite is lustrous and transparent with a smoky brown color. Associated with the main crystal are smaller cerussite side-crystals as well as some pinkish white barite, characteristic for the locale. This whole specimen is free of damage and strikes with a large main crystal, great balance and a stark contrast of crystals against matrix.
The black and white combination of this Elba hematite with associated quartz is just brilliant and brings it right to the point! Sharp black surfaces with mirroring luster play with interwoven snow white quartz needles. The whole piece is in best condition with only some contacts at the back. A real stunner of dazzling contrast, highest crystal quality and superb aesthetics! Our video very well shows its sparkling nature in a 360° view. Lean back and enjoy!
Large and sharp crystals of rich pink manganoan calcite are intergrown to shape this rather massive specimen. The calcite is well developed all around and shows a vibrant luster. Like a ripe fruit this crystal is tempting to take a healthy bite. The whole piece is in near perfect condition with a contacted backside but no actual damage. An outstanding piece, impressive in size and color even for Dal'negorsk, most famous among all Russian mineral sources. A quick look on our video immediately shows what I am talking about!
Cuprian adamite is the intensively green, copper containing variety of adamite and is a classic for the region of Lavrion. This is a thin limonate matrix covered in pale green microcystals on both sides. Among this generation of crystals are larger adamite aggregates of much more intensive color and better clarity. A lovely piece of good quality for this relatively rare mineral!
The Central Mine in Keweenaw County is one of the oldest, most classic copper mines of Michigan and has produced a great number of fine specimens over the second half of the 19th century. This specimen is a characteristic arborescent group of blocky copper crystals that show a beautiful metallic copper color and an exceptionally vibrant sheen. It is distinctly 3-dimensional and perfectly crystallized on all sides. A fine floater of appealing quality and aesthetics!
Completely etched on all sides, glassy and highly lustrous, this unusual aquamarine is a weirdly beautiful sculpture. The color is a intensive greenish blue that is very well visible even in more unfavourable light conditions. The crystal is not perfect yet in great condition with only some minor scratches or minimal chips which are hard to see on a highly structured piece like this. An intriguing floater crystal, full of charming little details!
A group of cubical pyrite crystals the largest of which is over 4 cm on edge from the now abandoned Racracancha mine. All crystals have a shiny golden color and nice striations on all sides as is characteristic for the finds that all occured in the last 10 years. The backside is completely contacted but the front is near perfect with just a couple of minimal abrasions. A rather rare specimen of great quality and nice visual impact!
A rich and beautiful aggregate of tabular, glassy barite on galena. The barite is of yellowish color, superbly lustrous and 3-dimensionally arranged like flower petals. This fine specimen is in 360° best condition where even the smaller crystals are undamaged. A just wonderful and elegant piece that is much better in person!
Massive towering jet-black sphalerite, well developed as a complete floater with no damage at all. The backside and bottom are covered in lovely white calcite, the front is pure metallic black, a sculpture of intergrown tetrahedral sphalerite. A well aesthetic specimen that is very much appealing on 360°.
Quality and aesthetics of this rubellite are absolutely stunning! The crystal shows most vivid raspberry-red color which is especially intensive at the flat termination, where the crystal is gemmy. The body of this specimen is evenly studded with lavender lepidolite and white cleavelandite which is just beautiful on such a vibrant, lustrous and thick crystal. There is virtually no damage here, even the backside is complete and similarly impressive. Highly attracitve specimen of great hand-size and unusually fine developed aesthetics!
