This is a jewel of utter brilliance! In the mid 2000s a relatively small number of high class, mostly miniature sized specimens were found at the Kakamunurle Mine near Karur. The crystals, commonly sceptres, are known for their superb quality as you can very well see on this specimen. Intensively purple, glassy amethyst sceptres are crowded atop a floater piece of colorless quartz. At the center is a flat structure of quartz with layers of hematite which adds a unique look to this sparkling specimen. Very attractive in person as you can easily see in our video!
Several gemmy red rhodochrosites are set on a characteristic black manganese oxide matrix. The largest crystal is 1.3 cm wide and totally gemmy with striking cherry-red color. It shows a complex shape with great luster and no damage whatsoever. The smaller crystals have somewhat less color but are equally perfect. An overall very beautiful specimen with single isolated crystals on a contrasting matrix!
This attractive tourmaline specimen features a single crystal that towers from a small piece of well defined white feldspar. The tourmaline is gemmy green with a light orange core and a thin purple cap at the flat termination. A very nice and flawless crystal. Main focus however is definitely on the aesthetics that is exceptional and highly attractive!
Crystal shape and overall composition on specimen of pure and massive pyrite are absolutely unique and stunning! A dramatic main crystal that has 4.1 cm on edge is set on an elongated flat piece of crystallized pyrite.
That main crystal is a perfect octahedron with lustrous and nicely structured faces and all six terminations visible which is totally unusual! It is surrounded by a number of smaller side-crystals mainly on the backside, while the front is all free and well defined! The whole piece is in exceptional condition and strikingly beautiful in person!
This dominant exemplar of honey orange calcite on white matrix is an older piece that features a rich number of hexagonal crystals with rhombohedral terminations. While it is not completely flawless most crystals are intact and of very nice quality. It's the overall sweeping aesthetics and dramatic size that makes this piece special!
This huge and massive etched topaz is from the important single find in Fazenda do Centro that yielded a limited number high class topaz! This amazing specimen that has a total size of 22,5 cm and weighs 3.6 kg! It is a completely etched bi-color crystal of incredible perfection with almost zero abrasions and no actual breaks or other issues. The main part is a light blue, fully transparent massive topaz of elegant shape with beautiful surface structure and very good luster. It is accompanied by a champagne colored zone that is much more irregular but which adds a nice contrast and great aesthetics. It's an amazing crystal with a three-dimensional shape that is better visible in our video!
The aesthetics of this miniature specimen is just breathtaking! Two single isolated fluorite crystals of super gemmy quality and very nice green color are set on this specimen: One on the feldspar matrix, the other one on a single quartz crystal. Some additional mica rounds out the view. Very attractive in person and in very best condition all around!
This single crystal tourmaline from Laghman is exceptionally gemmy with a nice pink color. Its shape is a distinctly hexagonal prism with a lustrous surface. At the termination there is some intergrown lepidolite as you can easily see in the video.
Its a very well defined specimen of wulfenite on matrix that features one single main crystal of striking quality! That crystal is 1.5 cm broad, sharp, gemmy and lustrous and shows the most intensive orange color! Set at the center of a brown piece of rock matrix it is very prominent and dashy. It has a microscopic abrasion at the edge but is otherwise perfect all around. The matrix has some small wulfenites distributed over its surface. Very attractive in person for its marvelous quality and composition!
The shape of this unusual rose quartz specimen reminds of a jewelled crown. A number of glassy, well cut crystals are fanning out from a more amorphous yet sparkling and intensively pink center at the base. The backside is completely flat which indicates that this piece has grown on the surface of a larger crystal. A vibrant specimen of appealing aesthetincs!
Augelite is a rare aluminum-phosphate with major doposits almost exclusively in Peru. The main crystal on this specimen is rather dramatic with around 3 cm on edge! It is embedded in white quartz from which it emerges like a green island.
The condition is very good overall with only peripheral contacts but a flawless augelite crystal at the center! An outstanding specimen for this rare mineral!
Myriads of tiny white quartz needles are a perfect background for these lovely fluorite octahedrons. The fluorites are of a marvelous color combination, green at the center and deeply purple at the edges. The size ranges from only a few millimeters to 1.7 cm on edge. The condition here is good and complete with contacts and breaks only at the periphery. When you take a look on the backside you see a massive plate of green fluorite which holds the piece together. Very nice specimen with pretty colors and stark contrast!
