Quality and shape of this brilliant little specimen are utterly stunning in person! The Perfectly developed sceptre head shows intensive purple color, it is glassy, sharp and flawless! The elongated colorless stem is equally perfect and has some small attachements of mica at the bottom which adds even more to the already stunning aesthetics. Small but absolutely gorgeous in person!

It's a characteristic specimen for the La Gardette Mine that features glassy quartz crystals of finest quality in Dauphiné habit. The whole cluster is in great condition and sparkling with countless lustrous crystals the largest of which has around 9 cm in length. We got this piece from the private collection of Dr. Reinhard Dallinger who again bought it at the Munich Show of 1992. A lable is included with the piece!

Very nice floater specimen of pericline on schist matrix in best condition all around. The crystals are encrusted with some limonite which adds the characteristic orange-brown color without covering too much of the white blocky crystals. At close view you can see some rutile in a sagenite grid. The closer you look, the more this piece has to offer!

NW989 - Hessonite with Clinochlore - 650€

High quality blood red hessonite crystals with a silvery association of muscovite. The largest crystal has 0,7 cm in diameter and is over very best, sharp quality! I totally love the contrast of the gemmy, sparkling red crystals on the bed of muscovite. The whole piece is without damage and stunningly beautiful!

FY516 - Amethyst Sceptre - 1500€
Mörchnerkar, Zemmgrund, Zillertal, Tyrol, Austria
Size: 7.2 x 6.5 x 4.6 cm

The main amethyst sceptre has a total length of 3.5 cm and shows very nice transparent quality. The surface is lustrous, slightly frosted, and with some subltel structure. Quite characteristic for the locale the purple color is limited to the sceptres head where it is especially strong towards the sharp pointed termination. The main crystal is embedded in nice sheets of muscovite and accompanied by quartz side-crystals. This group again is surrounded by the matrix which is a mix of quartz and feldspar with veins of mica.
The classic aesthetics of this specimen accounts for its age. It has been found by Franz Tuma (Oberwart, Burgenland) in Summer 1994 which is documented by a sign at the specimens bottom.

This 14.5 cm single crystal quartz shows dramatic luster and clarity and is virtually perfect from bottom to tip! One of the prism faces has a beautiful growth of pericline, smaller quartz crystals, limonite and hematite which adds much in respect of aesthetics and appeal!

Very dark brown color and a dominant massy main crystal define this excellent specimen! That main crystal is 3.5 cm thick, sharp and highly lustrous. The backside is a crystallized contact where the piece detached from the rock. Apart from that contact the piece is in superb condition and super-attractive in person!

IZ022 - Pyrite with Calcite - 850€
Rauris, Pinzgau, Salzburg, Austria
Size: 5.3 x 3.1 x 2.6 cm

Most pyrite crystals from this region are simple in architecture and mostly rather small in size. This cuboctahedral single crystal on the other hand shows strikingly vivid details, almost like the rosette of an iron rose in combination with the structure of stacked galena cubes. The metallic dark brown surface is lustrous, sharp and flawless. On the bottom side, where the pyrite is crystallized as well, it is overgrown with tightly packed books of muscovite. Further to the specimens left you can find a group of white calcite which adds contrast and even more structure to this fine specimen! With a crystal size of 2 cm this is for sure an outstanding Alpine rarity!

WB315 - Quartz - 900€

Several quartz crystals are attracitvely arranged around a single main crystal. The main quartz has absolutely amazing luster and surface structure on all sides, it is glassy and in superb condition! The bottom as well is not broken but completely recrystallized. It's a brilliant specimen from an uncommon locale!

AA21 - Rutile - Sold
Iragna, Lodrino, Riviera, Ticino, Switzerland
Size: 5 x 4.2 x 2.6 cm

This blocky rutile is of an unusual type, very unlike what we are used to from the Alps. The single crystal is 1.7 x 1.2 cm large and of a short prismatic habit. It shows waxy luster and is completely opaque. Condition is fine with only a small ding but no actual damage. The rutile is grown into a quartz/feldspar matrix which nicely emphasizes the black crystal.

A doubly terminated amethyst with characterictic convoluted sceptre-architecture and very nice purple color. The crystal is overall in very good condition, both terminations are perfect. There is a break at the backside but that doesn't impair the terminations or the front view at all.
