This is a magnificent quartz group of impressive size, composition and crystal quality! The piece is in excellent condition all around with only minimal and hard to identify wear. The most dominant feature is the brilliant quality of the crystals. Superb luster and clarity radiate an incomparable elegance. Beautiful and captivating, almost like lit with an inner glow. At the base there are white pericline crystals and greenish chlorite. The underside is completely crystallized. An exceptionally beautiful composition, full of details.
This is an unusually vibrant and sculpturesque specimen of fine tabular hematite on a white feldspar matrix. The finely structured feldspar, which serves as the matrix, makes the entire piece extremely light and delicate. Individual hematite platelets measure up to 1.7 cm in diameter and stand out particularly well against the white feldspar. Very attractive and in surprisigly good condition.
A nice and compact doubly terminated smoky quartz specimen with excellent luster on the front faces and great clarity. There are no breaks or even contacts as everything is crystallized and undamaged here. One minor chip on the tip is the only small downside but that's invisible from the front. The backside is covered in rust-brown iron oxide which shows through the transparent crystal and adds a really nice visual effect. An overall great crystal of splendid quality and composition!
One single 2.2 cm long titanite is set on a lovely crystallized piece of matrix. It's a characteristic olive green twin crystal with superb quality and completely flawless. The surface is brilliant, the crystal is transparent and the color is open and contrasts with the sparkling white feldspar matrix. Zooming in on that matrix you see a wonderland of silvery mica-schist, white albite and some specks of dark chlorite. All natural and immensely beautiful!
This chloritized quartz specimen from the Nussingkogel near Matrei in East Tyrol is quite unusual. Measuring 17 cm, it is an impressive piece in person. Most special about it is most certainly the strong chloritization of the crystals, which extends throughout the entire specimen. Only the main crystal and the tips of the two smaller crystals protrude from this chlorite zone. The main crystal, in particular, shines with outstanding quality and is completely flawless. Its interior displays a striking greenish phantom. Anyone who enjoys unusual pieces from the Austrian Alps will love this.
A single, well defined, sharp and lustrous sceptre with a small, very aesthetic pericline at the side. The condition is near perfect with only a tiny chip at the tip but which is hardly discernible at all. An absolutely lovely specimen in thumbnail size.
This combination of white adularia on cream colored blocky pericline is just impressive! It is basically a massive feldspar matrix that is distinctively shaped with large periclines and a rich sprinkling of adularia all over it. The condition is quite excellent with no broken crystals anywhere in sight. A beautiful and classic specimen of outstanding visual impact!
Rutile specimens are hard to come by from this abandoned locale, a small quarry active around the year 1960. This piece features a single crystal on matrix. The crystal is impressive 2.4 cm long and 1.8 cm broad. It is well developed, undamaged and nicely set on a natural piece of rock matrix.
The quality of this single crystal smoky quartz is utterly amazing. It's transparent, lustrous on all sides and 100% flawless. One look at out video and you will realize how good this really is!
This lovely fluorite was found at the Böckstein tube in Gastein valley and it is utterly stunning in person!
It consists of a distinctive main crystal that is interlocked with a smaller fluorite and sitting on a small piece of matrix.
With an edge length of up to 2.7 cm, the main crystal is quite remarkable and also in excellent condition.
On closer inspection and also visible in the image, the fluorite shows a distinctive phantom inside.
The pale green color, characteristic of this area, is wonderfully elegant and shines from the translucent crystal even in normal ambient light. Absolutely amazing and beautiful!
It's a completely perfect single quartz from Floitengrund. The crystal is 18.5 cm long and perfectly crystallized aven at the bottom, covered with chlorite, feldspar, and muscovite.
It is almost completely transparent. However, because the back is partially covered with chlorite, it doesn't necessarily look that way in the picture. Have a look on our video for a better impression.
Perfect from bottom to top and utterly impressive!
