This one is a massive fluorite from the Okorusu Mine that shows absolutely amazing beauty! With a size of 11.8 cm is is quite dominant and an outstanding example for the no longer active open pit mine. Interlocked purple fluorite cubes with marvelous inner life! Adding direct backlight reveals an utterly beautiful colorplay of purple patches interwoven with lighter yellow or greenish parts. The closer you look the more wonderful details you will discover.
This is a classic hessite from Botești, the locale that yielded the world’s best specimens of this rare species. The 4.9 cm specimen features a well crystallized white quartz matrix with a distinctive metallic grey hessite aggregate that’s 2.9 cm long. The hessite is nicely developed with individual crystals reaching 3.5 mm. The whole aggregate is in great condition. Only with the loupe will you see some small damage but mostly it’s intact und unharmed. A piece of lovely aesthetics and splendid crystallization!
A classic tourmaline from Stak Nala that shows brilliant pink color and a sharp pyramidal termination. It's a single crystal with just the right amount of albite. What’s really special here is the fact that the crystal is doubly terminated with a flawless flat termination at the bottom. The color near the bottom is a rich grass-green. The center is dark forest green. The upper termination is an open pink which is really attractive. The whole specimen is in excellent condition.
This excellent 11.7 cm elongated baryte crystal shows a beautiful honey-yellow color, wonderful luster and good transparency. It is from a 2013 find and was in a collection in Namibia ever since then. The piece is in very best condition, not damaged or repaired or even in any way worn. Barytes from this site are extremely hard to come by, so we are glad we got a nice one here!
This specimen strikes with its unusually bright blueish green color. The brown rock matrix is partly covered in a crust of chalcophyllite in association of blue azurite micro-crystals. Having a closer look with the loupe you can see how beautifully crystallized that chalcophyllite really is. Fine glassy and lustrous tabular crystals forming larger structures, covering the azurite and original matrix. Absolutely lovely in person!
A 2.2 cm main titanite of fresh lime green color is set on a lovely matrix, crystallized with white calcites. It's a twin crystal, well developed and completely flawless. The matrix as well is in very best condition and provides a perfect environment for that stunning and prominent main titanite. A beautiful specimen without downsides.
This is a captivatingly beautiful quartz on a crystallized albite matrix. What looks like a rough coating on the quartz is in fact only a fine layer on the back of the crystal. Through the crystal-clear quartz, however, the picture looks mercilessly impure. Don't let that fool you, the piece is beautiful and much better in person! Vibrant byssolite and chlorite inclusions inside a high-quality crystal make the piece particularly appealing! The matrix is a thin layer of blocky albites. The underside is also naturally crystallized, so the piece is a perfect floater.
La Rioja is internationally renowned for those stunning, sharp, golden cubical pyrites. This one is an outstanding specimen that strikes with a massive main crystal that has incredible 6.9 cm on edge! A size that dramatically stands out from the bulk! This large golden, sharp and undamaged main crystal is set on a characteristic light grey marlstone matrix, accompanied by a second smaller pyrite. Aesthetics, quality and the impressive crystal size make this a remarkable specimen!
Vivid green fluorites are associated by a number of pale blue aquamarines. Those fluorites are somewhat rough but if you look closely you realize that the condition is surprisingly good! Also the aquamarines are mostly intact, even on the backside. A very fine natural combination piece with a stark color contrast.
This fine tourmaline from Pyingyi Taung measures 3.6 cm and is a vibrant mix of pink tourmaline and white feldspar!
The tourmalines are brilliantly lustrous and colour-intensive. A light candy pink which is really attractive and doesn't need much illumination.
Rather unusual is also the combination of flat versus complex terminations which both occur on this fine little specimen.
The condition of the piece is top notch and without any damage!
While Brazil counts among the worlds richest sources for a variety of mineral species, there is one important mineral that is known to be scarce: fluorite.
This stunning piece was found as part of the same pocket as the large etched Topazes in 2017. This one-time find at a Farm near Fazenda do Centro (Espírito Santo) again yielded only a limited number of fluorites and was much better known for the Topazes.
This specimen features a perarlescent white piece of albite with lovely ocean-blue fluorites.
The main crystal has a maximum extension of 5.3 cm. It is an etched and modified cubic crystal with nice open blue color, great luster and transparency.
One side is flat but also this is not cleaved but nicely crystallized.
The condition of this whole specimen is incredibly good. It appears to be a complete floater and shows ideal aesthetics!
A titanite specimen from old finds in the Campo do Boa mine in Brazil. Titanites from this locale are rather remarkable, displaying fresh vibrant green color, gemmy quality and stunning crystal size! This specimen strikes with most beautiful surface structure and sharp development. A little feldspar matrix is present and adds much to the overall aesthetics! There is one small chip I need to mention. It is right at the tip and, although not too catchy on this vibrant piece, it certainly has an influence on the price. A brilliant little specimen!
